Born John Duffield Jordan, Jack Jordan enlisted in the Navy at age fourteen in July, 1918, making him the youngest American veteran of World War I. His life alternated between the Navy and acting. In the '20s he worked in Hollywood and on the stage. In 1930, he reenlisted in the Navy and served as a Bugler and Chief Bugle Master until the end of World War II.
