Havoc is a pretty forgettable and derivative action flick, although not an unenjoyable experience.

The plot is muddled and bland, and only really serves as a way to string together the action set pieces. None of the characters are remotely interesting or fleshed out, and the emotional stakes are zero.

Gareth Evans is a top notch action director, and he does choreograph some good sequences here, but they almost feel a little too over the top and chaotic at times. The great thing about recent action films like John Wick, Nobody etc, is that the action sequences tell the story and let the character shine, actually developing the character through the action. That is all missing here though. Tom Hardy's character is just a bit dull, although he has great presence in the action scenes.

Overall, a bit of a formulaic attempt, but one that is entertaining enough. There are much better action films out there, but this will satisfy an itch for an action flick if you have one.

I signed up to watch a giant snake kill people and that's what I got, so I was thoroughly satisfied by this film.

Sure, there isn't really much nuance to things, but who wants nuance when there's a giant anaconda on the loose. It does exactly what it says on the tin, and is decently atmospheric. The story has a decent pace to it, and it gets suitably ludicrous by the end. There are some fun characters, although don't look to them for any depth or character development.

The cast is surprisingly good, and the performances are probably a cut above for this type of film. Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson, Jon Voight, all do a perfectly decent job.

The effects are dated there's no denying that, but they aren't terrible. They are dated in a charming way and don't lessen the impact of the film in any way.

Overall, a really decent and entertaining creature feature that does exactly what you could ask of it.

A Christmas Carol is a timeless classic and a staple of Christmas time, so to see it re-imagined in glorious Muppet form is a real treat.

The story speaks for itself, so there isn't much to comment on there. It's great and is the ultimate Christmas story.

The Muppets are really fun and work so well within the story. Michael Caine plays it completely straight as if there are no Muppets involved which is a brilliant creative choice.

The songs are all pretty fun too and are catchy and well done.

A fun and Christmassy time will be had by all when watching this!
