The film consists entirely of 7 YouTube videos made by JD Archives.
No Escape was originally intended as a spinoff of Gideon's now-deleted 2024 short film, BACKROOMS: THE MOVIE.
The film was initially planned to be a two-hour film made entirely by Gideon himself.
JD Archives gave Gideon permission to use his stuff for the film.
Due to profanity, violence, and disturbing images, the film was originally intended to be rated R, but after the release shifted from theaters to an online premiere, it was given a TV-MA rating instead. The film was considered so disturbing that it initially included a disclaimer warning viewers about its content, but this was removed during post-production.
