The overlay music during 3/4 of the movie made it hard to hear any of the characters talking and caused too much background noise which in turn made it unenjoyable. The cgi robots was very poor could tell they were not there nor walking etc. The movie was confusing throughout except for the beginning.. The movie, plot, cgi, etc Could of been so much better! They were sisters but yet seemed from two different countries and two different families. Was one good and one bad? Who was the good? How did a simple bullet manage to take out advanced robots? There were so many holes left unfilled in this movie.
"I Heart Robots" is an unexpected gem on Tubi that echoes the dystopian vibes of classics like "Blade Runner" and "The Terminator." Starring Franzi Schissler and Danny Trejo, this film dives into a world where robots, once our creations, have turned against humanity. It's a familiar narrative but told with enough heart and originality to keep you hooked. Watching it with my family, we were surprised by how engaging it was, especially given Tubi's mixed bag of content quality.
Schissler shines as Terra, a determined survivor on a mission to save what's left of humanity with her robot companion, Q. While the story falters in depth and leaves you wanting more, the film's execution and the chemistry between the characters make it an enjoyable watch.
Given Tubi's reputation, "I Heart Robots" feels like it belongs on a platform like Netflix, where it could reach a wider audience. The low score reflects the story's need for more development, but it's a solid pick for a family movie night if you're looking to catch up on some decent sci-fi. It's not perfect, but it's a fun, thought-provoking journey through a dystopian future.

I zapped through this and I stopped at a scene here the movie's heroine (presumably, I didn't even check the role list or the movie itself before posting this), and I'm sorry if I'm spoiling anything here, but when you're watching what is supposed to be robots, and the budget doesn't allow for animatronics, and you have to rely on CGI to do the part, you should at least make sure they can fix things like footprints and shadows underneath them, not to mention having fixed locations on the floor, not hovering around, clearly and fully visible, and then hearing someone saying something to the robot in question and you're still thinking about how fake that looked, now you're supposed to believe that she's actually talking to that hovering robot that you can't pass on as realistic, for a movie.
Another observation was her outfit I saw in one scene, some grey spandex with cut-outs that clearly was made for this movie, possibly the scene only, and it looked, well, judge for yourself, but it had no Earthly business in this movie, and I gathered that she was prowling around trying to avoid one of these floating "robots", I think, and it looked so fake and not realistic at all. The overall acting that I saw is pretty bad, cheesy dialogs (Although, first impression was that this would be one of those narrated movies where the main character talks about herself, others and what's about to transpire before the movie takes off, like the movie Tank Girl (Got the same vibe at first), but that didn't last very long, and whatever similarities it may have had died when I saw the bad acting, dialog, well, basically what I just wrote above...
This is just as bad, and possibly worse than A. I. Assault that I accidentally saw in 2006 which has the same flaws with CGI.
One would think that someone should've reacted to "Hey, why is that robot floating above the ground" or "Why is it moving like it had a stick up it's behind?", and possibly many many more mistakes, before releasing it mainstream.
There's also the possibility that they just threw something together with some yahoos just to make a quick buck in the hopes that people would buy this because of the title, which probably most likely the case here.
So, put this movie back in the "Pick 3, pay for 1"-bin and select something else instead! You'll thank me, I promise!

Any review of this movie that is above a 1/10 is FAKE! I would give it a negative 10 if I could. I like Danny Trejo and I feel sorry for him having participated in this horrific mess. This disaster of a movie looks more like a school kid put it together for a project. The scenes look fake and were not realistic. All the acting was terrible and looked and sounded like they were reading their lines off a teleprompter. Most of the characters wandered around in army green T-shirts while Franzi Schissler wore what looked like stripper outfits. The only element of the movie that was remotely entertaining was the music soundtrack. In the future I will avoid any movie with any of these actors as well as any movie produced by Justin Price!
Really surprised me as I scrolled through Prime-what a shift from the old DVD store hunts! This movie, though stumbled upon unexpectedly, proved to be a hidden gem. Admittedly, my expectations weren't high, but the film quickly impressed with its clever utilization of A. I. and a storyline that resonated more deeply than anticipated. The plot revolves around a girl feeling isolated in her world, with the robot arguably serving as a metaphor for human solitude and our need for connection. This subtext adds a meaningful layer to what could have just been another sci-fi flick. The way the film explores themes of loneliness and friendship through its tech narrative is both innovative and touching. Additionally, the soundtrack deserves a shout-out-absolutely loved it! The music added a whole new dimension to the experience, enhancing every scene beautifully. For anyone looking for something out of the ordinary, this film is definitely worth your time.
