The two above had a great run with Banshee
Their edge carries over in this one
Pulling in Hoon Lee as his best friend and business manager is great side kick and he always steals show with his sharp wit. Not to mention a couple of episodes with Banshee alum Matt Servitto as the shark lawyer. John Hamm carries any show he's in and is a smart choice. Trooper always finds leading women who can carry the men along and make the show complete
I doubt this will be as violent as Banshee but if it is, expect some over the top scenes as well
Olivia Munn is my favorite female lead and best surprise so far.
Love what I see so far.

Well, what can I say?
I've just binged two-thirds of the first season in two days and found it surprisingly fun to watch.
It's a gripping, intelligent and emotionally rich series that exceeded all expectations. With sharp writing, subtle tension and complex characters, it paints a compelling picture of suburban life, where secrets simmer just beneath the surface.
Jon Hamm delivers one of his best performances to date - nuanced, charismatic and deeply human. The entire cast is excellent, but Hamm anchors the show with quiet power and emotional depth.
Beautifully shot and perfectly paced, this is a must-watch for fans of slow-burn drama.
If you're a film junkie like myself then you'll appreciate the time and effort that Jonathan Tropper and everyone else put in to make this happen.
I enjoyed it. Not my place to say where it could have been improved. It is what it is.
Thank you.

Hey, this is my first review here ever so take it with a pinch of your favorite condiment, on the other hand I hate nothing more than spoilers so read it safely.
This tv series is no different than any others, there's no chance you could please everyone and just like in life, if you read more reviews you'll find them all, great, amazing, bad, terrible and so on.
What I think this show offers, and bare with me, this is only up to episode four so far, is a bit of everything, a bit of humor, a bit of drama, a bit of unnecessary, just about as usual, now what I think makes it a great show is by delivering some great lines, if you're like me, and love a great line, you'll find plenty in this one, quite like in "Landman" where Jon is a protagonist as well, but those lines there don't come from him, but still a great watch that was, again... in my opinion.
I think those who will enjoy this show are those in mid/late 30's+ and I say that as I believe many will find themselves in one way or other in some of the scenes you'll be witness throughout the show, a bit of an emotional rollercoaster at times, but not a bad one, it's normal to feel that way, it will bring up memories, good and bad possible, especially parenting wise, it hits the spot for quite some of us with that, hence the mid/late 30's+ note.
Overall I think it will find it's own crowd.

Actually, I'm vegan..but I just love Jon Hamm so much, I almost don't care what the role or the show or movie is. Initially the ratings for this show were on the low side. Given how much I love Hamm, I thought I'd give it a look anyway. I love it. It's unique, it's rather cynical, but I like that. It's a commentary on our capitalist, shallow society. It's making me feel better that I don't live in the $3 million house. I love his character.
I'm on episode two, came here to rate and review, and really happy to see that it's now a 7.9, which makes much more sense to me. I can see how this may not be for everyone.. but it is for me. ;0)

This show isn't about friendship or suburban bonds - it's about the vast, echoing emptiness in between. The characters wear irony like armor, laugh through despair, and live in glossy homes that hide rotting lives. Every scene scratches at something uncomfortable: the truth that beneath polite smiles and well-trimmed hedges, there's loneliness, fear, and quiet collapse. Even the humor here doesn't offer relief - it's more like a nervous laugh at your own reflection. It's a comedy that leaves you unsettled - and strangely seen. Which makes real life feel even emptier. Uneasy. Almost lonely. Almost eerie.

- QuizIn the finale, Coop (Jon Hamm) says, "this is where I leave you" which is the title of creator Jonathan Tropper's bestselling book, and later film by the same name.
