Madharaasi

RATING: 4/10 REVIEW: This movie is a colossal time-waster. For a nearly 2hour 45 minute runtime, the story is flat and ultimately nothing new or intresting. While the casting director did a good job securing talented actors, the script gives them nothing to work with. The writing is completely devoid of logic and offers absolutely no proper grip or narrative innovation. It's frustratingly below average and feels utterly pointless. Skip it.

The idea to do something different was evident, right from the bad guys' motive, the conscious choices made so that SK doesn't come across as your regular commercial "big screen hero" who can do nothing wrong. SK pulls of the convincing performance that he is known to, his character has his own ups and downs, you'd not expect this from the "bigger names".

Some of the action involving Vidyut Jamwal was good. Barring that, the film is nothing but a generic "I've got to save her" kinda film from 10-15 years ago, although Rukmini Vasanth plays whatever she was given convincingly.

The standards for the 'commercial/mass' genre have dropped so bad that this film felt like it was a breath of fresh air (I feel horrible saying that) because it was so much better than the garbage we've gotten over the past 1.5 years from Kollywood. It's SURELY better than Thug Life, Coolie, etc. From this year and maybe even some of the "mass movies" from the last two years.

Not SK's best, and surely not Murugadoss' best. Is he back? Hmmmm.....back enough to make a bigger movie that might end up being his actual comeback.

I don't know how tf this movie got an 8+ rating. The story is foolish and filled with nonsensical scenes that don't add up. The characters lack depth, the pacing drags, and even the so-called "twists" are predictable and poorly executed. It feels like the filmmakers were trying too hard to impress but ended up delivering a confusing mess. Honestly, it's overrated and not worth the hype.

This film marks ARM's comeback to Kollywood and he's back with a bang. This movie has Sivakarthikeyan who's the usual family entertainer, but this film gives him a very different type of character which explores various different emotions and this film really showed how good he is at his job. Anirudh music, it's become a necessity in big hero films and he's yet again proven that's he's the current gen king! Amazing background score and good songs for the emotions that need to be conveyed. The heroine's role had good depth and was a core character in the film, and Rukmini really did a great job with her character. The villains, mainly Vidyut Jamnwal had a almost equal weightage to the hero, pretty much 40:60, but at the end of the day the hero needs his moments and the antagonist's mass went from a BLAST to a dying flame towards the end. The movie was pretty much perfect if not for certain lags and a very very normal, not bad but normal climax. Great cinematography, stunt choreography and locations make this film a must watch. Overall a great love action drama from ARM once again.

Mind-Blowing Action!*

I just watched Madharasi and I'm still reeling from the non-stop action! The stunts were insane, the plot was gripping, and the actors nailed their roles. The special effects were top-notch, making the action sequences feel super realistic.

The movie's pacing was perfect, with just the right amount of suspense and humor. The villain was terrifying, and the hero's determination was inspiring.

Overall, madharasi is a must-watch for action fans! 5/5 stars from me!
