Based on the Onimusha video game series by Capcom.
The main character, Musashi Miyamoto, is modeled after Toshiro Mifune and voiced by Akio Ôtsuka, who previously portrayed Nobunaga Oda in the video games.
Musashi Miyamoto first appears as a guest character in Onimusha: Blade Warriors. He also appears in the Night of Genesis manga as an opponent, and later, a companion, to Jubei-Akane Yagyu.
