Reviewers say 'Daredevil: Born Again' garners mixed reactions, applauding Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio's performances and mature storytelling. The darker themes and intense action sequences are praised, yet pacing issues and inconsistent tone are criticized. Some find the MCU integration and CGI distracting, while others appreciate new characters and cultural representation. The series is a noteworthy MCU addition, though it may not fully replicate the original's magic for all fans.

I can't tell you how glad I am that Daredevil and The Punisher are back and finally part of the MCU. As a huge fan of Marvel I'm a little biased because I pretty much like everything they put out. My bias aside, Daredevil was universally loved and thought of as being the best of all the Marvel shows. Daredevil: Born Again picks up right where the original left off and that's being an incredible show. It's actually my favorite Marvel show, with The Punisher a close second. All you have to do is read through the reviews to see how loved Daredevil and The Punisher are. Even the critics loved them. Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio were born to play Daredevil and Kingpin, as was Jon Bernthal to play The Punisher. Those three are absolutely the best part of the show. Now that they've brought back Daredevil and The Punisher, they need to bring back Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist into the MCU somehow. If you're a Marvel fan then Daredevil: Born Again is a must watch.
I have been a huge fan of Daredevil ever since the Netflix series. The character's grounded feel, combined with so much depth and drama, made him one of the best comic book characters ever written. Kudos to Charlie Cox for bringing him alive in live action. Born Again takes that action and kicks it up a couple of notches with bigger stakes and much more action.
The best thing about the season is how they pay tribute to old actors and cameos without making it all about with new editing tricks and VFX. Although it is a pleasant edition, it doesn't take you away from the rich street-level story everyone is expecting from Daredevil. Wilson Fisk being mayor is a whole other swing in the plot, which keeps you guessing what happens next. The whole team did an amazing job, and the cliffhanger Gorey ending made me wonder how big of a ride we will have next year! All in all, one of the top 5 superhero shows I have watched!

PROS:
- Amazing VFX and Editing.
- Keeping the old with the new!
- Great twists and writing.
CONS:
- Some hints of MCU shows pushed in there which don't bother me that much.
- Short action sequences which I would have loved more off!
RATING: 8/10.
As I've watched 7 episodes of Daredevil: Born Again, I feel like something was quite off. I don't know exactly what, maybe it's the fast pacing, the rushed dialogues, the toned-down antagonist, and especially the lack of brutal fights, grittiness, and those darker tones.
So I started rewatching the Netflix version, and damn, it just felt so much more layered. The character introductions actually felt connected to the audience. I don't know, maybe it's just me. I've never read the comics, so I'm not sure if this newer tone is closer to the source material or not.
But for me, and honestly, for a lot of people, the Netflix version is the Daredevil we fell in love with. That depth, that grittiness, the emotional weight... it's kind of missing from the Disney one.
Especially with all the disappointing Marvel shows that have dropped on Disney+ most of which became forgettable within a week, except Loki and WandaVision, and that's mainly because those characters were already loved.
I just feel like people are too scared to admit that Daredevil: Born Again isn't really that good, especially because Daredevil has become such a beloved character.

Back after almost a decade, Daredevil: Born Again is a bloody delight and a worthy successor to the Netflix show. While it's not perfect, it certainly sets up a thrilling future for the character.
While the first half of the show was slow in pace with Murdock being a just lawyer and Fisk trying to be a good person and a citizen, the second half brings the action, thrill and signature brutality which made us attached to this show in the first place.
Without any comparison, Born Again might never reach the heights of it's predecessor, but it's still a worthy follow up. Cox remains a magnetic lead, although perhaps less so than D'Onofrio, who is the main reason to watch. An appreciation to the makers for not overdoing this series just to appease larger crowd, like they have been doing recently with their movies and series, Born Again stays honest to the format and delivers a strong, although not perfect, follow-up to an extraordinary superhero series.
My Rating : 8/10.

'Daredevil: Born Again' had a rocky start to its creation, but it pulled off a rather impressive season to continue the incredible Netflix series. It has its faults and flaws, but it really hit its stride towards the end giving us a solid season overall. Charlie Cox is still an incredible Matt/Daredevil, while Vincent D'Onofrio shows why he is the one and only choice for Kingpin. Season 1 ends with a pretty explosive setup for season 2 that definitely left us wanting more.
In the end, 'Daredevil: Born Again' moved our characters forward from the Netflix series into its own MCU world with heart, drama, action, and some of the most brutal violence we've seen in a Marvel property.
Brad: 8.5 Josh: 8.5 Final: 8.5.
