Apples or Roscoe?

This refreshingly original and highly entertaining cult classic concocts all the elements the viewer might expect, yet the twists and turns are entirely unpredictable. It is a satire about the movie-making industry; an unlikely romance; a crime "drama;" a story about "the blues;" and introduces some very tenuous "friendships." The eminently accomplished director, Robert N. Zagone, features his beloved Bay Area as a main character second only to Danny Glover who plays Apples Finnerty, or is he Roscoe?
