The film was shot over a period of a year and a half, starting in September of 2022.
Mrs. Carpenter, the neighbor who sees the killer running away, is played by Heidi Alvord. She appeared as a murder victim in the movie 'Video Psycho', which was also directed by Del Kary, back in 1997.
Brendan Parker, who plays detective Simms, was not the original actor cast in the role. He was assisting the production with lights and sound and offered to audition for the role when the first actor casted had to leave the production unexpectedly.
'Cheater, Cheater' had a Limited Theatrical run from September 6-19, 2024. The Limited Edition Blu-ray from SRSCinema went on sale August 29, 2024.
