We expect to see the a lot of announcements, clips, images, and other goodies from the Netflix streaming service today, and the action begins with the unveiling of the streamer’s 2025 TV slate – which is previewed in the fun “You’re Not Ready” trailer embedded above. In this trailer, a Netflix subscriber finds herself taking a journey through some of the many TV shows coming to the streamer this year, including Squid Game season 3, Wednesday season 2, the Cobra Kai finale, The Witcher season 4, and Stranger Things season 5. Don’t expect to see much in the way of show footage in the trailer; this is just about the subscriber’s adventure. Netflix had the actress who stars in the ad do a lot of stuff for this 3 minute promo, but unfortunately they didn’t reveal her name, so I can’t credit her for her work.

Netflix just debuted their massive TV series plans for 2025, including confirmed release dates for some of their hit shows including Squid Game season 3, Ginny & Georgia season 3, and more.

The streamer also confirmed that Emily in Paris, The Diplomat, Wednesday, Stranger Things, The Witcher, My Life with the Walter Boys, and moreamong other titles, will be released this year.

Netflix has quite a large slate of new and returning series coming in 2025. The slate was previewed Wednesday at the streamer’s annual Next on Netflix event in Los Angeles, which was also streamed across the globe.

Some of the most anticipated projects include Stranger Things 5 and Wednesday Season 2, neither of which have premiere dates just yet. So far, Netflix has revealed a huge slate for February, as well as a smattering of series that are expected through August, but a large portion of the series the streamer says we’ll see this year haven’t been confirmed for a specific date yet.

Of the dates that were revealed, perhaps the biggest surprise is that the third and final season of Squid Game is coming sooner than audiences might have anticipated, premiering on June 27. June will also bring another season of Ginny & Georgia.

William Shatner is no stranger to awards, having won a Saturn for his 1983 portrayal of Admiral James T. Kirk in Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, a Saturn for his guest-starring role on the sci-fi series, Haven in 2016, and, of course, we can't forget the two Emmys he took home for his portrayal of Denny Crane in both The Practice and Boston Legal. His career spans over seven decades and brings with it awards, nominations, and honors, with another coming up on February 2nd.

On February 2nd, the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films will be giving Shatner a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Saturn Awards ceremony. In its announcement, the Academy described Shatner as a "living legend," according to Trekmovie. And there is no better way to put Shatner's life into words.

The Deadly Swarm is a great example of the downside to having a long run of good films to review. Because while you’re watching them, you know karma is going to send a real pile of shit to balance the score. And that’s certainly an apt description of this killer fly movie.

Robert Downey Jr. stars as not one, but four characters in HBO’s newest thriller series, “The Sympathizer.”

The limited series, which is based on Viet Thanh Nguyen’s novel of the same name, follows a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy as he hides his identity from a refugee community in Los Angeles during the final days of the Vietnam War.
