I like it.. not the better but not the worse.. good adaptation of a book that's for sure. But I didnt believe the chemistry with the cast. Was too forced
This is based on the first novel of Brenda Jackson's Granger Series about the Granger family, consisting of three brothers and their falsely accused and incarcerated father. The first book and this film focus on the eldest son Jace's story.
When their grandfather has a heart attack, all three brothers return home to be with him before he passes. They make a deathbed promise to him to save the family business, Granger Aeronautics. Once they arrive it is clear that nefarious things are going on at the company and they need to hire expert help. This is where Shana comes in. Shans and her team get to the bottom of the traitorous goings on and help the brothers right the ship of their company...all while having a fierce attraction to Jace, which goes against her non-fraternization policy at work. Unable to control themselves Jace and Shana eventually agree to a secret affair outside of work. But they have both been burned before and when a woman arrives from Jace's past and Shana gets some unexpected news...will they be able to build a romance?
Sexy and pretty true to the source material (I applaud Passionflix for that!). The film, like the book, does a lot of teasing for future stories. The other two brothers and their father's stories are heavily foreshadowed in Jace and Shana's story. So much so it gives the film version an unfinished feeling. Like what happened to the rest?
I am just thrilled that Passionflix is picking up and bringing to life these highly popular romance stories. This one was not my favorite...but I love the idea and I really have loved a bunch of their other films...Driven, Dirty Sexy Saint, The Will, Gabriel's Inferno, Afterburn/Aftershock, The trouble with Mistletoe, Matchmaker's Playlist and Resisting Roots! So, I want to be encouraging and supportive while at the same time saying this wasn't my favorite but I think it was more source material not direction or acting (which the acting was good and I really liked the two main characters).

The eye candy for over the top, however one of the worst productions I have seen in years. Who ever is behind this need to start over, not a bad story line, but horrible production. Don't waste your time.
It's not often that a movie stays true to the book and hits ALL the best scenes and lines This was does that for sure. Jeremy Batiste and Celestine Rae do an admirable job portraying these serious type characters. Supported by Michael Marcel and Robert Christopher Riley, the movie pulls off the comedic scenes while keeping pace to tell all the key points of this love story/murder mystery that has 3 main points. Tosca Musk is working hard to ensure Passionflix honors the genre it represents. Thank you Brenda Jackson for this story and Passionflix for bringing it to screen.
I have to say, I read all 3 of these books and yes this one does drag out b/c it's the first one in the series. I really hope they film the last 2, they are so good and it'll be interesting to see how they put the story on screen.
