Purgatory Flats

Slightly above average noir. You will not recognize any of the actors, however character development and acting are not bad. The storyline is somewhat original. Recently released from prison physician falls in with a dysfunctional family in the small desert town of "Purgatory Flats". He is attracted to the wife of one of the family members which leads to murder and double crossing. If you enjoy these on location southwest films like "Truth or Consequences New Mexico", "American Strays", etc., you will probably like this one also. It drags in places, but eventually picks up again. Marginally recommended, and not bad of it's type. - MERK
