The Bladebreakers' bit-beasts are based on the 4 Chinese Gods which are: Dragoon - Seriyu the Dragon, Dranzer - Suzaku the Phoenix, Draciel - Genbu the Turtle and Driger - Byako the Tiger
Despite being the Japanese representative team, Ray is from China, Max is half-American, and Kai did most of his training in Russia.
Every member of the Bladebreakers except Kenny is voiced by a Canadian voice actor in the English dub. The team could therefore be considered Canadian.
Tyson, Kai, Max, Ray, Kenny, Mr. Dickinson, Blader DJ, the commentators, Max's parents, and Tyson's grandfather are the only character to appear in all three seasons. In addition, Hilary is the only character to be introduced in season 2 to have a role in season 3.
