Padmini Kolhapure was also considered for Ek Duje Ke Liye 1981.But couldn't do the film as she was shooting for this film.
The film was not successful like other Nasir Hussain films and was declared a flop.
Technically this film was Nasir Hussein's best work, it was less successful film but till now this film is liked, seen and is in demand. In those days Mansoor Khan had come back from abroad and was incharge for the disco lighting. This film was started after Zabardast was shelved.
After the film flopped, Rishi Kapoor refused to take any phone calls from Nasir Hussein.
Rishi Kapoor stated the film flopped due to the movie having no story line. It was just of good songs laced together. The audience wanted a better story. Instead it was the same old Shammi Kapoor type story line being told once again.
