This film is OK Like all the other reviews even I think that this film should have been made in the 70s or 80s
The film has Anil Kapoor's noble family taking charge of the village and making almost every decision It does look kind of weird as it's like their family is butting into the decision of every other family in the village
There is also a side story which eventually goes into the main story and that is Shakti Kapoor who plays the villain of the film
Direction is outdated Music isn't very interesting
Anil Kapoor doesn't suit the old role but is passable in the young role Rekha is brilliant Raveena Tandon is interesting in the first half Harish is bad Paresh Rawal is funny Sadashiv Ampurkar is good Shakti Kapoor is purely evil as the villain

Astonishing movie by anil and rajni.
Rajni kant acting was excellent man and very powerful.
Small but good act
Director had a good vision but fails to deliver because too much screenplay just wasted on comedy jokes and unknown songs which had no meaning to the plot even the main characters didn't get the much screentime because of this silly things.
Bad songs, stretched screenplay and too much unnecessary dialogues and jokes makes the movie unbearable to watch after a moment.
Only Anil kapoor with his double role saves some of the film and the cameo appearance of Rajni kant is good to watch.
Raveena Tandon is average she looks hot in songs rest is just average whereas Rekha ji performance is outstanding though she hasn't got much to play but still she shines.
All n all a typical cringe action drama which could be a lot better if director had focused on storyline rather than jokes and songs....

T. Rama Rao made some extremely beautiful films in the 1980s, but he seems to be a filmmaker who cannot mature with the changing times, styles and fashions. He's like stuck with the same old-fashioned film-making style.
Actors are not bad, not good either. Anil Kapoor generally acts convincingly his two roles of a father and his son, but the flawed script often makes him look funny and pathetic. Rekha is good, but then - she's always good, and here she's nothing more than such. She makes the best of what she is given, but she always does that. In conclusion, nothing great at all. Raveena is OK, which means ordinary, not bad, not good, nothing.
This film is melodramatic, occasionally stupid. Maybe it's a delayed film? Well, even then it still would be below standard. The script is terrible, the film is overdone, and the story goes nowhere. It feels like a film made in the early 1990s, but the script makes it look even older, the style is like from the 1950s.
Don't recommend, unless you're a big fan one of the starring actors.

I watched this movie thinking it was an old one from 1994 but then was shocked to discover it released in 2000. Everything about this movies says early nineties, Anil Kapoor in a double role neither of which suit him one to old and one to young. Rekha looks great and still performs with vigour but she looked like she was competing with Raveena Tandon on screen. Raveena Tandon looked great also and being such a brilliant and professional actress she rose above Rekha's childishness and produced a good performances first spoilt brat and then pregnant wife. The movie overall was not good flop through and through 3 out of 10 the 3 for Raveena Tandon.
Lo sapevi?
- QuizWhen questioned why Anil Kapoor did such a horrible film he stated "My love and admiration of Rajnikant. I really wanted to act opposite him. He is such an amazing actor, so humble with no hang-ups. The funny thing was the competition between Rekha and Raveena Tandon to outdo each other looks wise, while I was going for authenticity. So there they were looking like a million bucks and I, who had had my clothes stitched by a village tailor, stood there looking like their mundu! I do have fond memories of the movie though."
