Mostly everyone's voice is dubbed by a dubbing artiste in the film.
The film was delayed for several years for unknown reasons. The shooting started in the mid 70's and was shelved . Mukul Anand was the original director. Mukul's brother Ravi Anand took over the film as director and re edited it. He shot extra scenes in Holland and tried his best to redesign and complete the film.
The film Maa Ki Saugandh (1986) was shot for 10 minutes in Denmark,Holland due to the film being a India Holland co production. During this part of the film the famous Babla and Kanchan song "Kuch Gadbad Hain" is played in a night club scene. The song was not released on the Maa Ki Saugandh soundtrack album. The song "Kuch Gadbad Hain" was sampled from the song "Feeling Hot Hot Hot". "Hot Hot Hot" is a song written and first recorded by Montserratian musician Arrow, featured on his 1982 studio album, Hot Hot Hot. The song was a commercially successful dance floor single, with cover versions subsequently released by artists in several countries, including in 1987 by American singer Buster Poindexter. The song "Tauba Kya Sama Hai" from Jalwa (1987) was also inspired from the English song "Feeling Hot Hot Hot". In 1997 there was a Pakistani version titled " Ik Deewani Si Larki" from the film Ehsaas. Bina Mistry also did a Hindi version of Hot Hot. Neelam Kothari was in the music video in 1997. The song was later used in the movie Bend It Like Bekham.
