Many years later, Fernanda Torres revealed she hated working on this soap opera due to an intense dislike for the character she played, and also the long schedule of shooting which coincided her work on many films at the time. She starred in Sonho Sem Fim (1986), Com Licença, Eu Vou à Luta (1986) and Eu Sei Que Vou Te Amar (1986) - the latter was promoted on the Cannes Film Festival where she won a Best Actress award, the very first won by a Brazilian actress). Fernanda claims that the series was so stressful that at times she would take out her frustrations on co-star Tony Ramos. Despite her idea of being mean to him, Tony said he never felt that way, and he admired her very much.
