Current time famous singer Sunidhi Chauhan made her career debut at the age of thirteen, with this film song "Ladki Deewani Dekho" alongside Udit Narayan ,She came from school to record this song at the studio.
The tune of the song Kuch Hua Re in Shastra was later duplicated in the film Tarkieb, in the song Tujhe Dhoondo Mein.
The film was earlier titled " The Weapon". The producers then decided to opt for a Hindi title and chose Shastra, the Hindi definition of Weapon.
The film was delayed for a year due to financial problems. But the producers had the hit song Kya Ada Kya Jalwe in the film. They kept promoting the song in the hopes that the film would open big.
