While Abbott Elementary season 4’s karaoke episode was an unexpected surprise, star Chris Perfetti recently told ScreenRant that he would love to see this become a tradition in the series.Abbott Elementary’s entire cast of characters is funny, but special mention must go to Chris Perfetti’s Jacob. Jacob might be earnest and well-meaning, but he is also often cringe-inducingly awkward in his misguided attempts to relate to his students and co-workers alike.
Perfetti’s character never wants to put a foot wrong, so, naturally, he is at his funniest when he finally cuts loose. Although Abbott Elementary season 4’s finale gave the teachers a bittersweet sendoff, episode 17, “Karaoke,” offered Jacob a hilarious low point as he covered Papa Roach’s nu-metal hit “Last Resort” at a staff karaoke night. Asked about a longer cut by ScreenRant’s Rachel Foertsch, Perfetti said it was unlikely, but he liked the idea of another karaoke outing.

While we’ve all wanted to be a superhero, at least once in our lives, have you ever wondered what it would be like to party with one such badass superhero? Well, Florence Pugh just gave us the ultimate sneak peek of what a girls’ night out with her Thunderbolts* character Yelena Belova would be like—and honestly, we’re obsessed.
Speaking with Et, Florence Pugh mentioned that karaoke, a gay bar, and a wreck room would be mandatory visits during a girls’ night out with Yelena Belova. Well, it’s giving Marvel mayhem meets Bridesmaids chaos. But to be fair, with Yelena’s dry humor and reckless lifestyle, we all know how this night out will be a hell lot of fun, glitter, and girl power.

Malaysia has scored a historic first at the Cannes Film Festival with Ananth Subramaniam’s “Bleat!” selected to compete at the Critics’ Week, marking the first time a Malaysian short has been invited to the festival.
“Bleat!,” a co-production between Malaysia, the Philippines and France, tells the story of an elderly Malaysian-Tamil couple who discover their male goat, destined for ceremonial slaughter, is pregnant. The couple faces a spiritual and cultural dilemma: proceed with the ritual or risk divine consequences.
Set within Malaysia’s Tamil minority community, the 15-minute comedy-drama-fantastic hybrid features Tharmasegaran Maniam, Pannerselvam Evarani, and Dhanesh Alagarsu, with “Big Boy” playing the goat at the center of the moral quandary.
The selection represents a milestone for Malaysian cinema, which has seen four features premiere at Cannes previously: “Tiger Stripes” (2023), “The Tiger Factory” (2010), “Karaoke” (2009) and “Kaki Bakar” (The Arsonist) (1995).

Last week's episode of Abbott Elementary, season 4 episode 17, "Karaoke," was seriously one of the best and funniest episodes from the comedy series. I enjoyed it so much, and I thought it was done so well. When Jacob suddenly starts angry singing "Last Resort" by Papa Roach, getting a chance to see the Abbott gang together outside of school, and Ava and O'Shon's date were all such big highlights from the episode. Thankfully there's a new episode to look forward to very soon!

No crowded bars, no waiting for your turn - just nonstop karaoke fun at home with this unique streamer.
Back in high school I was in a band… we were okay, not great but you didn’t want to burst your ear drums to escape. I had a blast though - the adrenaline of being on stage playing music was addicting. While my music career was short-lived, karaoke is one of the best ways to recapture that thrill. And if you’re like me - itching to grab the mic and belt out your favorites (mostly Coldplay songs for me), there’s one streaming service that has you covered: Stingray Karaoke. It features a ton of great songs, scrolling lyrics, and none of the hassle of crowded bars or judgmental DJs. If you’re ready to turn any night into a karaoke party, here’s everything you need to know about Stingray Karaoke.

As part of Apple TV+ and Apple Music’s A Carpool Karaoke Christmas, Chappell Roan and her parents Kara and Dwight joined host Zane Lowe for a special SUV sing-a-long of her song “Pink Pony Club” on Sunday night.
The segment featured Lowe driving Roan and her parents around rural Missouri in an SUV, complete with Christmas decorations strewn about the car. As Lowe played “Pink Pony Club,” Roan and her parents sang along, with the latter two getting emotional — especially during lines that reference her midwestern family.
After the song concluded, her parents discussed its impact. “That song… I love singing it with her at her shows, I love it when you can just see the people respond to that song so much,” commented her mother Kara. “Even when we’re growing up, we really care about what our parents think of us… I hope that’s something that she always knows,...

"You live with a man for 40 years and you don't even know him." Greenwich Ent. has revealed the official US trailer for an Israeli indie comedy called Karaoke, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Moshe Rosenthal. This first premiered at last year's Tribeca Film Festival, and also played at the Jerusalem, Hamptons, Raindance, and Tallinn Black Nights Film Festivals last year. Now it's set for US release in select theaters this November. A bittersweet comedy about a middle-class suburban couple in their 60s who are drawn to their new neighbor, a charismatic bachelor who has karaoke evenings at his apartment. Described in reviews as a "fantastic offbeat comedy" that's "smart, funny, & beautiful." The film stars Sasson Gabay, Rita Shukrun, and Lior Ashkenazi. This looks a smart commentary on modern society in Tel Aviv, not only about gender dynamics, but also about social status and relationships and so much more.

When asked to partake in a game of “Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts,” Niall Horan probably didn’t expect the least awkward question to be about naming his least favorite One Direction bandmate.
VideosJustin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon Sing Alanis Morissette, Talk Gilmore Girls
The boy band survivor was less concerned with beating James Corden during The Late Late Show‘s recurring confess-or-consume game than he was with a potential PR nightmare. Be that as it may, he just couldn’t help himself when asked whether he’d rather spend his last night on Earth with Selena Gomez or Ellie Goulding,...

Ever wonder how James Bond got on board that train as the back of it peels away in the Skyfall trailer? This clip shows the action that leads up to that moment. And Adele sings Skyfall in another clip that’s included.
We’ve seen the moment many times in the movie trailer, but the first actual clip for Skyfall that shows a whole scene unfolding reveals exactly how Bond finds himself on a train as the back of it gets ripped to shreds.
Also, Adele puts her sultry voice to excellent use for the Skyfall theme song. The video doesn’t offer any peeks at the movie; only a Karaoke-style display of the words as Adele sings them, but the song is still a great way to get in a Bond-type mood that’s fitting for Global Bond Day.

In A Better World (Sony) Winner of last year’s Best Foreign Film Oscar, this Danish export looks at two fractured families and the effect that the adult world dysfunction has on their two sons, who form an immediate and potentially deadly bond. Director Susanne Bier delivers another powerful work that maintains its drive during the films’ first 2/3, then falters somewhat during the last act. Still, well-worth seeing, and beautifully made. Also available on Blu-ray disc. Bonuses: Deleted scenes; Commentary by Bier and editor Pernille Bech Christensen; Interview with Bier. Widescreen. Dolby and DTS-hd 5.1 surround.
X-men First Class (20th Century Fox) “Origins” film set in the early 1960s, traces the beginnings of Magento and Professor X (played ably here by Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy), and how the once-close friends and colleagues became bitter enemies. First half is slam-bang entertainment at its stylish best,...

Winter's Bone (15)
(Debra Granik, 2010, Us) Jennifer Lawrence, John Hawkes, Kevin Breznahan. 100 mins
What No Country For Old Men did for west Texas, this striking landscape thriller does for Missouri's Ozark mountains. This is no country for poor women: an insular rural community clouded by drugs and patriarchy where they do things their way. So when Ree learns her father's skipped bail, and the family home was his security, she must ask difficult questions in dangerous places – chiefly among her extended outlaw family. Tough suspense, documentary-like observation and character drama are perfectly balanced.
I'm Still Here (15)
(Casey Affleck, 2010, Us) Joaquin Phoenix, Sean Combs, Anthony Langdon. 107 mins
What was Joaquin thinking? This film won't clear that up, but it at least shows you what he was doing: taking drugs, falling out with friends and the movie biz, rapping badly and descending into mumbling incoherence – apparently.
The Other Guys (12A)
(Adam McKay, 2010, Us) Will Ferrell,...
