In 2013, Tom Selleck stated in an interview that he would agree to return as Peter Mitchell for Three Men and a Bride. Selleck has spoken to Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg, who have also expressed enthusiasm for reuniting for a third movie.
Leonard Nimoy declined to return to direct this film, as he was busy making Bebè mania (1990), a move he later regretted.
While the movie included location shooting in New York and Great Britain, all scenes that featured Ted Danson were shot in Los Angeles as he had a long planned family vacation that could not be changed.
In the first film Peter buys a giraffe toy for Mary, while in this film you can see that same giraffe in the background but this time it has long hair, and a pink bow around its neck.
At the end of Three Men And A Baby (1987), there is a painted picture on the door of Peter, Michael, Jack, and Sylvia. In the very beginning of this film, that very same painting is seen, but this time Michael paints it onto a wall for a different apartment.
