Catherine Spaak met her future husband Fabrizio Capucci on the set of the film. He was the only male who did not hit on her on the set. In a 2002 interview, she stated Ugo Tognazzi made a pass at her in his car and kicked her out after she rebuffed him.
Catherine Spaak did not get on with co-star Ugo Tognazzi from the get-go. He gave her a ride in his car after meeting her for the first time. He groped her during the drive and made her scream. He promptly kicked her out after she rejected his advances. They never spoke to each other again off camera after the groping incident.

Catherine Spaak's voice was dubbed as she did not speak Italian at the time. Director Luciano Salce spoke fluent French. He communicated with Catherine Spaak in French.
Second ever film score by Italian master Ennio Morricone. This was his second collaboration with director Luciano Salce. The first was Il Federale (The Fascist) in 1961 also staring Ugo Tognazzi.
