This is the only Tom and Jerry cartoon to use "A Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Cartoon" end title with a blue background since Il topo va in guerra (1943).

The romancing French accent used by Tom is likely a nod to Charles Boyer, as is WB character Pepe le Pew, who was reputedly modeled after the Gallic actor.

This is the only Tom and Jerry cartoon animated by Michael Lah since A Mouse in the House (1947).

When playing the clip from "Solid Serenade" there is a brief moment in which Tom whistles whilst peering over the fence and seeing Toodles' silhouette in the window. That particular shot was not in the original cartoon and was specifically added to the footage being reused in this cartoon. This also marks the first time since the "Just Ducky" cartoon in which the light-blue bit that used to be between Tom's eyes is present.
