First German movie to feature a nude scene.
Hildegard Knef's nude scene drew the criticism of the Roman Catholic Church. She commented on it by saying: "I can't understand all that tumult - five years after Auschwitz!". She also said "I had the scandal, the producers got the money."
The film's sets were designed by the art director Franz Schroedter.
Years later when Hildegard Knef tried to shift her career to the US, it was difficult because her reputation was hurt due to her nude scenes in this film and because at the age of 19 she fell in love with a Nazi.
