A Ronson Touch Tip table model lighter would grace Humphrey Bogart's desk just three years later in Il mistero del falco (1941) and has become a highly sought after collector's item.

The live action shots in Daffy's movie are a spoof of Pete Smith's Goofy Movies.

Director von Hamburger is a parody of Austrian director Josef von Sternberg.
