Early in this story, Torchy's boss finds a picture of Torchy in polo clothes...and he and the rest of the folks at work assume Torchy plays the rich man's sport. However, he doesn't...and just had a picture taken despite having never played the game. This gets him into trouble when the boss asks Torchy to join his team for an upcoming match.
There aren't many laughs in this one...in fact, I cannot recall any. It's not that it's a bad film...but it's also one that could easily havre been better and funnier.

In the eighth of the series of short sound comedies, Ray Cooke as the office boy 'Torchy' is thought to be a whiz at polo -- don't ask; in these short comedies, people believe the most peculiar things because it serves the unimportant plot. Cooke, of course, has never been on a horse so we have comedy sequences of him preparing for the big match, and his inevitable triumph which will offend those who hold polo so dear
Some of the gags are good. New players show up for old roles, but Franklin Pangborn is still around as the office manager who is Cooke's nemesis.
