Riepilogo
Reviewers say 'Truth Seekers' is a mix of paranormal horror, mystery, and dark comedy, drawing comparisons to 'The X-Files' and 'Doctor Who'. Nick Frost and Simon Pegg are lauded for their performances, though Pegg's limited screen time is noted. Humor and jump scares are praised, but opinions on the comedy-horror balance vary. The episodic structure with interconnected narratives is seen as both a strength and a weakness. Homages to classic shows and films are appreciated by some, while others find it derivative. Supporting actors like Malcolm McDowell and Samson Kayo receive positive feedback. Criticisms include pacing issues, underdeveloped characters, and a lack of plot cohesion. Despite these, many hope for a second season, citing the show's potential and enjoyable elements.

This is the kind of show that has been missing for awhile now. The acting is perfect (Malcolm McDowell steals every scene he's in), the writing feels familiar but fresh, the humor is organic and natural, and if you loved the monster-of-the-week type of episodes, that's what you're going to get, but with its own mythology arc running throughout.
On my second watch already, and it's only been out for two days!

Was looking forward to this series due to it starring nick frost & Simon pegg some aspects are funny but don't expect it to be the typical sean of the dead humour this is very different for the pair also anything supernatural is a plus in my book just wished the episodes were longer but its worth a binge
This show was refreshingly original. It had a great concept and is definitely bingeable. I would have loved a chance for this show to grow and develop, really find its legs. A perfect mix of quirky and funny which always made how dark it could go really unsettling. A good mix.
I can't believe Truth Seekers is not being renewed. Such a fun show with a great cast. So much boring stuff on Prime and they cancel this creative, interesting show. Not cool, Prime.
I like all the actors in this, especially Emma D'Arcy, but also Malcom McDowell, Nick Frost, and Simon Pegg. There are no special effects at all, so it is just scary sounds and lights, an occasional creepy creature, like the old Twilight Zone TV series. Simon Pegg plays the internet service company manager where Nick Frost works, and Pegg wears the most ridiculous 1970s polyester wig. I guess that counts like special effects?
The only reason to watch this series is for the acting, and it is very entertaining. Unfortunately, there are some spots where the characters literally sit down to read or watch a video, and it gets really slow and boring. Hopefully the series will quicken its pace in future episodes.

"This or That?" With Nick Frost and Simon Pegg
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost answer some very important questions with their "Truth Seekers" co-creators, Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz.

- QuizThe very striking abandoned factory used throughout season one happens to be Welwyn Garden City's derelict Shredded Wheat factory. The factory was built in the 1920s and manufactured the breakfast cereal until 2008. A listed building, it is set to be converted into housing in the near future. The town also provided many of the locations for Pegg's 2013 sci-fi feature "The World's End".
