Apple TV+ Needs to Bring Back Sci-Fi Comedy Show Featuring Forgotten ‘Mission: Impossible 3’ Villain
Image
In today’s league of genre-bending, Hello Tomorrow on Apple TV+ stood out like a rocket to the future, taking off from a suburban lawn but making it retro. Think Jetsons plus Mad Men aesthetic. They were deeply human themes wrapped in this slick sci-fi cover of a show. It not only entertained, but it also intrigued the audiences.

Billy Crudup was brilliant as Jack Billings, a morally ambiguous vacuum salesman who had dreams of going to the moon. He played the role with the same charisma that he had as the villain in Mission: Impossible 3. The first season of Hello Tomorrow with buzz, but it quickly fizzled out, only after one season, leaving fans wondering what could happen next.

Apple TV+’s Hello Tomorrow is the sci-fi concept that should have bloomed

As the streaming wars continue, Apple TV+ should visit this gold that they’re sitting on...

If You Didn’t Know Billionaires Are Bad, ‘Mountainhead’ Is Here to Tell You
Image
Last week, X owner Elon Musk (net worth as of this writing: $420.6 billion) loosed his A.I. “tool” Grok on the platform, where it started promulgating false statements about “white genocide” and the Holocaust. Earlier this month, Mark Zuckerberg ($220.4 billion) quietly reversed itself on pledges to fund affordable housing in the Bay Area. Three months ago, Amazon co-founder Jeff Bezos ($218.9 billion) drove away the Opinions Editor at the Washington Post, which Bezos owns, by ordering “support and defense of two pillars: personal liberties and free markets.”

I could go on, but you get the idea: When it comes to making capricious, arrogant, ill-informed decisions that are harmful to millions, the world’s three richest people never take a day off. Jesse Armstrong really didn’t need to go to the trouble of making Mountainhead to convince me billionaires are ruining our lives.

Mountainhead, which premieres on HBO and Max May 31st,...

Steve Carell Clearly Didn’t Like Tina Fey’s ‘The Four Seasons’ Pitch After What Happened in ‘The Morning Show’
Image
It was an iconic moment when Tina Fey was critically acclaimed for portraying the role of Kate and co-creating the iconic Netflix show The Four Seasons. Joined by popular actor Steve Carell, the comedy drama show wrapped the world in its relatable storyline, the ups and downs of marriage, and how it often affects your mutual friends and those closest to you.

However, when Steve Carell heard about his character’s fate in the penultimate episode, he wasn’t clearly too impressed by it.

Steve Carell wasn’t too happy about his character’s fate

Well, when it comes to characters that Steve Carell has portrayed throughout his filmography, some things are pretty common. Firstly, he drives around in his car a lot, and secondly, he gets into accidents in said car.

Titled Baby Queen, it is based on the upcoming debut novel of the same name by southern crime fiction writer Ty Landers. How ‘Your Friends & Neighbors’ gave Jon Hamm a lovable a–hole to play: ‘This is going to be something that will be resonant’
Image
A week ago, Your Friends & Neighbors star Jon Hamm got a real inkling that his character Andrew “Coop” Cooper is an antihero viewers hate to love.

“I was at the upfronts last week and Denis Leary was there,” Hamm related during an FYC panel for the acclaimed Apple TV+ series at the Hollywood Athletic Club, recalling his very first encounter with the famously abrasive actor-comedian. “He goes, ‘Hey, Hamm! You're a f--king a--hole, and you are on a show with a bunch of f--king a--holes, and I'm watching you and you're around these a--holes and you're the biggest a--hole — and yet I f--king love you!’”

Hamm, who was joined on the panel by series creator and executive producer Jonathan Tropper and costars Amanda Peet and Olivia Munn, considered Leary’s amusingly over-the-top but insightful take. He concluded that there's something inherently, undeniably compelling — relatable, even — about Coop’s dilemma:...

Tina Fey Explains That ‘Four Seasons’ Death and Teases “Starting From Scratch” for Season 2
Image
[This story contains spoilers for episodes seven and eight of The Four Seasons]

“It’s been so fun. I don’t know that I’ve ever been a part of something that had this much of an immediate positive reaction,” Tina Fey says of the last few weeks as The Four Seasons, which she co-created and stars in, debuted on Netflix.

The series is inspired by the 1981 rom-com of the same name directed by Alan Alda, and follows three couples as they go on vacations in spring, summer, fall and winter, with marital and friendship troubles along the way. In a surprise twist, Steve Carell’s character Nick — who had divorced his wife Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver) and was dating the much younger Ginny (Erika Henningsen) — died in a car crash in the second-to-last episode, which Fey addressed at an Emmy FYC event on Monday.

Fey and her co-creators, Tracey Wigfield and Lang Fisher, had the death in mind from the beginning of the show,...

The 15 Best TV Shows On Apple TV+ Ranked

Apple TV+ may be losing money hand over fist, but something tells us Apple isn't hurting too badly. And when you log onto your Apple TV+ account, whether you pay for it or got a free three months after buying a new iPhone, you'll see everything the platform offers right there on the homepage. Unlike other streamers, Apple doesn't outsource its programming. You can naturally buy movies and shows from other studios separately, but a paid subscription gets you exclusive Apple TV+ programming. Apple TV+ Shows Getting Cancelled in 2025: From Acapulco to Time Bandits
Image
The streaming platform Apple TV+ has had a slow start compared to other streaming giants, but the studios have managed to deliver some of the best shows online. Whether it’s Jason Sudeikis’s Ted Lasso, Adam Scott’s Severance, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon’s The Morning Show, or more. Apple Studios focused on the quality of the content they had been putting out for the viewers, and because of that, the audience and critics have lauded it.

However, the success and popularity of some shows at times come with some being pretty average, and some finally concluding with the right storyline. Apple Studios has recently announced the cancellation of a couple of shows in 2025. Let’s find out.

Apple TV+ announces the cancellation of 5 shows

As it has already been established that Apple TV+ is focused on the quality of the shows rather than the quantity, it is...

‘Elle’ Adds a ‘Dawson’s Creek’ Star to the ‘Legally Blonde’ Prequel Series
Image
Today, Prime Video announced a major development in the upcoming Legally Blonde prequel series. The streamer revealed through Deadline that none other than '90s heartthrob James Van Der Beek has joined the cast in a recurring role. The Dawson's Creek and Apartment 23 star will share the screen with the new Elle Woods (Lexi Minetree), but at this point we don't know in how many episodes he will participate. A release date for Elle is yet to be announced.

Per Deadline, Van Der Beek will play the city’s new mayoral candidate and current school district superintendent, Dean Wilson. Since the new series covers Elle Woods' high school years, this may suggest that Dean Wilson and the young girl will go head-to-head on different occasions. In the movie series, Elle became known for not catering to people in positions of power, so the series might show how the future lawyer developed her backbone.

Apple TV+ frozen? Here's how to fix the app
Image
We’ll show you how to unstick a frozen Apple TV+ stream on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Roku devices.

Apple TV+ has no qualms about operating a little differently than other streaming services do. On the content side, Apple TV+ offers only exclusive, original TV shows and movies, and unlike other streamers, it has essentially no licensed content in its library.

But Apple TV+ also works differently from other streamers in that it does not have a dedicated app of its own. It lives inside the Apple TV app, and while that distinction may seem small, it’s key to know if Apple TV+ freezes up on you while you’re trying to stream it on an Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, or Roku device. If that does happen, we’ll show you how to fix it below!

Ranking the all-time greatest shows on Apple TV+
Image
From ‘Ted Lasso’ to ‘Severance,’ here’s what makes Apple TV+ unskippable.

When Apple TV+ launched, I was more curious than anything — like, how was a tech company gonna handle movies and TV shows? Well, turns out, they’ve handled it just fine. In fact, they’ve quietly transformed into one of the best homes for prestige TV. The strategy’s pretty clear now: fewer shows, bigger swings, and major stars leading the charge. Whether it’s a grounded workplace drama or high-concept sci-fi, Apple TV+ tends to go all-in on quality — and you can see the difference. While other streamers come and go from my rotation, this one’s stuck around. I don’t churn it. There’s always something worth watching. So if you’re wondering where to start, here’s my list of the top 10 all-time TV shows on Apple TV+.

‘We can’t lose storytelling in America’: DGA President Lesli Linka Glatter on bringing production to L.A.
Image
She has one of the most impressive directing résumé in the business, with credits including Mad Men, Homeland, Justified, The Morning Show, and, most recently, Netflix’s Robert De Niro-starrer Zero Day. So much so that Lesli Linka Glatter sits atop the Directors Guild as president — what she jokingly refers to her “volunteer” job — where her current mission is to bring film and TV production back to Los Angeles. Levels have reached record lows — down 40 percent — thanks to the “triple whammy” of Covid, the strikes, and the fallout of the recent wildfires, which claimed her own home in the Pacific Palisades as well.

“I came of age when you’d go on a studio lot, and it would be filled with productions,” says Glatter. “And now I’m looking around now going, 'Ok, there's just one or two productions here.' And that hurts our whole city.”

Glatter, who...

Man Who Crashed Through Gate of Jennifer Aniston’s Bel-Air Home Charged With Stalking, Vandalism
Image
A Mississippi man has been charged after crashing his vehicle through the front gate of Jennifer Aniston’s Bel-Air home on Monday.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman charged Jimmy Wayne Carwyle with one count each of felony stalking and felony vandalism. He also faces an aggravating circumstance of the threat of great bodily harm.

“Stalking is a crime that can quickly escalate from harassment to dangerous, violent actions, threatening the safety of victims and our communities,” Hochman wrote in a statement Wednesday. “My office is committed to aggressively prosecuting those who stalk and terrorize others, ensuring they are held accountable.”

Carwyle is accused of repeatedly harassing the Emmy-winning actress between March 1, 2023 and May 5, 2025, sending her unwanted social media messages, voicemails and emails, according to the district attorney’s office.

On Monday, just before 12:30 p.m., Carwyle allegedly crashed his vehicle through Aniston’s gate, causing substantial damage.
