While taking place in Stockholm, the series is mostly shot in Gothenburg, including the exterior of the family restaurant.
Even though it's called Djurgårdskällaren the restaurant isn't located on Djurgården island but in the neighboring Östermalm district. The street sign on the building says Narvavägen, which begins by the main bridge to Djurgården. In reality however the street is Haga Kyrkogata in Gothenburg.
Until 3 September 1967 traffic in Sweden drove on the left side of the road. Sweden was the only country on the continent with left sided driving and with increase of traffic and neighboring countries that followed the rest of Europe this was no longer tenable. After a long period of preparation this was changed overnight: Högertrafikomläggningen. In the series this is very well followed, albeit there are many cars with the steering wheel on the "wrong" side.
