Season 2 has recruited the services of some genre alums as the series looks to up the stakes in the new installment. According to Deadline, the upcoming season has enlisted the services of Christian OchoaLavernia, who was recently seen in Netflix's The Diplomat, in a new series regular role. Also cast in recurring capacities are Clayne Crawford (Chad Powers),Keanush Tafreshi (V/H/S/99), Medalion Rahimi (NCIS: LA), Raza Jaffrey (Homeland), and Tessa Ferrer (Swagger). The show recently underwent a rebrand from The Agency to The Agency: Central Intelligence, signaling the direction of things in the next chapter.

Season 2 is set to broaden the international espionage scene that was introduced in the first season. With that expansion comes a new lineup of characters ready to complicate Agent Martian’s mission.

After the wild and intriguing ride of The Agency: Central Intelligence season 1, there’s no doubt that we’re ready for the second season. While filming is still ongoing, there’s some news that has us even more excited for the stories that are coming our way. After all, the cast list is growing in the best way possible.

Paramount+’s critically acclaimed The Agency: Central Intelligence has signed on new cast members for the series’ upcoming second season. Christian Ochoa Lavernia, Clayne Crawford, Keanush Tafreshi, and Medalion Rahimi have boarded the spy thriller. Raza Jaffrey and Tessa Ferrer are also committed to season two roles.

The just-announced cast will join returning series stars Michael Fassbender, Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Richard Gere. Season two is now in production, but Paramount+ has not announced a target premiere date.

Tony winner Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth are the writers and serve as executive producers. Additional executive producers include Michael Fassbender, Joe Wright, Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari.

After serving as one of the stars of the hit series Silo, actor David Oyelowo is returning to Apple TV+ for his next project. He's the star and executive producer of Government Cheese, a new comedy series coming to the streaming platform next year.

Officially, the series will debut on Apple TV+ on April 16, 2025. The series will kick off with its first four episodes dropping simultaneously, while nenw episodes will then be released weekly on every Wednesday thereafter until the finale on May 28, 2025. While the premiere is still several months away, first look photos have been revealed by Apple TV+, revealing Oyelowo and other stars of the series in their roles. The images can be seen below.

In Silo Season 2, it’s all about rebellion. After Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) went outside at the end of Season 1, the residents of the silo were in shock. She refused to clean, the ritualistic act of cleaning the camera lens before walking a few steps only to perish. Instead, she held the cloth up and dropped it to the ground. Guy Ritchie's next movie will no longer be hitting theaters in January 2025. Lionsgate has removed In the Grey, which reteams Ritchie with his The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare star Henry Cavill, from its 2025 release schedule.

According to Deadline, the reason Lionsgate has pulled In the Grey from its Jan. 17, 2025 release date is because the movie isn't finished. The action thriller wrapped filming in October 2024, meaning that Ritchie has spent more than a year completing post-production work and is still not finished. A new release date has not yet been announced by Lionsgate. It's a sad update for fans who were looking forward to seeing the filmmaker's third Cavill-led movie. The actor previously starred in 2015's The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and 2024's The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

Silo had a strong start on Apple TV+, and out of the gate, the second season is just as enthralling. The sci-fi dystopian drama is based on the Hugh Howey set of novels, Wool, Shift, and Dust. The story follows a group of survivors who live in a community underground. The 144-level silo has a hierarchy just like the current world with the top brass on the upper levels and the menial workers down below. Everyone is warned that the outside is a vast wasteland and asking to go outside results in almost immediate death. A camera pointed outdoors proves just that, leaving residents fearful and obedient.

When an engineer from the lower level named Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) starts questioning and investigating to uncover the truth, however, the result is devastating when shes forced to go outside herself. But against all odds, she survives thanks to a very specific modification to her suit.

2025 is slated to have several major blockbuster releases in the form of franchise sequels, reboots, and live-action adaptations. That work is seen as the film flashes to 2018, when a routine check ends with a vehicle explosion and lives lost.

Sergeant John Kinley (Jake Gyllenhaal) leads a unit whose mission is to locate Taliban firearms and munitions, which includes a replacement interpreter in the form of Ahmed (Dar Salim). While considerably disliked, the interpreter proves himself a valuable member as he deduces an ambush lurking ahead of the unit.

With cameras just about ready to roll on The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare_, is yet to see a release here (or in much of the world), but in that it’s not exactly typical Guy Ritchie fare, even with lashings of muscular action. MGM has debuted a new trailer for Guy Ritchies’ war zone-set thriller ‘The Covenant.’

The story follows US Army Sergeant John Kinley (Gyllenhaal) and Afghan interpreter Ahmed (Dar Salim). Kinley and Ahmed are the only survivors when their unit is ambushed on patrol. With enemy combatants in pursuit, Ahmed risks his life to carry an injured Kinley across miles of gruelling terrain to safety.

When Kinley learns that Ahmed and his family were not given safe passage to America as promised, he must repay his debt by returning to the war zone to retrieve them before the Taliban hunts them down first.

Jake Gyllenhaal has unfinished business to resolve in the first trailer for director Guy Ritchie’s upcoming film The Covenant.

The MGM military thriller, hitting theaters April 21, stars Gyllenhaal as Army Sergeant John Kinley, who is rescued during a tour in Afghanistan by his interpreter, played by Dar Salim. The footage shows Kinley grappling with whether to put himself back in harm’s way to rescue Ahmed.

“If it wasn’t enough for him to carry me across those mountains, now he’s hiding in a hole somewhere,” Gyllenhaal’s character says somberly in the trailer. “I should be in that hole.”

He later adds, “Ahmed and his family are in trouble. I am gonna have to get him out myself.”

Deadline reports Tyler Perry's Too Close to Home TV show will premiere on TLC, Monday, August 22, 2016 at 9:00pm. Production began in Atlanta, back in June. An eight-episode drama, Too Close to Home follows a young woman from a working class family who achieves success in the "fast-paced D.C. political circuit." Shiny! Gina Torres has been cast in the title role of The Death of Eva Sofia Valdez TV series pilot at ABC. Torres is famous around these here parts for being a big, damn hero on Firefly, which was cancelled by Fox after 14 episodes (11 aired), in December 2002.

The cast of The Death of Eva Sofia Valdez also includes: Raul Castillo, Alison Fernandez, Zabryna Guevara, Marta Milans, Christian Ochoa, and Christina Pickles. Devious Maids' Charise Castro Smith is writing and will executive produce with Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, of Marvel's Agent Carter and the cancelled Resurrection TV series.
