If you’ve ever wondered where your favorite actor goes off to when you don’t see them in a show or film, chances are they’re in the theater, continuing to hone their craft. The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives star Judith Chapman not only enjoys performing on the stage, she’s also behind the scenes as a director, and has two entertaining performances coming up.

“The Young and the Restless” actress Judith Chapman (Gloria Fisher) is set to direct two productions at the Palm Canyon Theatre in Palm Springs, California this fall.

First up is the stage production of “Shunned,” a play by Larry Parr that provides audiences with a realistic portrait of Amish life and philosophy, and the problems facing the community in today’s world, including growing pressure to adapt to changing technologies and curiosity from tourists about how they live their lives.

Wolverine is arguably the most iconic of the X-Men, and largely has a very uniform identity which has been helped by Hugh Jackman’s iconic portrayal of the character in various live-action adaptations. The mutant himself, however, has been an integral part of the comics since forever, and was already extremely popular via the various animated iterations that came out, since the 1980s.

The short-tempered yet good-hearted, violence-loving savage has always belonged to Canada, although one particular iteration ended up changing that part of his identity. We speak of 1989’s X-Men: Pryde of the X-Men pilot, which was written by Larry Parr, a Marvel writer who had been working with Marvel Productions and Stan Lee since 1981.

1992's "X-Men" cartoon was the first time Marvel's Merry Mutants got a series all of their own, but was it the first time they appeared in animation? Not quite.

The team were guest stars on the early 1980s series "Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends", as was their nemesis Magneto. A few years down the line, Marvel Productions decided to produce an "X-Men" cartoon themselves.

The resulting pilot was "Pryde of the X-Men". "Pryde" boasted animation from Japanese studio Toei ("Dragon Ball Z"), and so looked noticeably more detailed and dynamic than previous Marvel cartoons. Where it did overlap with those older cartoons was the voice cast: the late John Stephenson as Professor X, Michael Bell as Cyclops, Neil Ross as Nightcrawler, Dan Gilvezan as Colossus, and a young Kath Soucie as Kitty.

Passage Theatre, Trenton's professional theater company, will pay tribute to Philadelphia's legendary blues singer and Oscar-nominated actress with two performances of Ethel Waters, His Eye Is On The Sparrow on Saturday, March 14 at 8pm and Sunday, March 15 at 3pm. WELLINGTON, New Zealand -- Nearly a year after Larry Parr's Kahukura Prods. collapsed, liquidators and government funding agency the Film Commission have reached settlement over the payment of creditors for the independent company's last feature, Crime Story. Film Commission chair Barrie Everard said "legitimate, outstanding" creditors were paid in full Thursday. Under the arrangement, liquidator PricewaterhouseCoopers received NZ$175,000 ($96,000) and creditors NZ$345,000 ($190,000). All rights, title and interest in Crime Story have been assigned to the commission, and the Inland Revenue Department has had its preferential claim paid.
