The maker of a popular line of television digital video recorders (DVR) and a broadcast TV consortium are trading blame for an issue that is preventing some newer-model DVRs from being fully compatible with the NextGen TV broadcast standard.

In a letter sent to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) earlier this month, officials at Pearl TV said SiliconDust’s decision to use a chip made by Huawei in its HDHomeRun broadcast tuners and DVRs is the reason why the company has not secured the proper certification needed to decrypt certain over-the-air channels.

Specifically, the issue involves channels that some broadcasters have chosen to encrypt through the NextGen TV standard, which uses Atsc 3.0 technology to deliver improved signals to consumers.

He responded with a simple "No," but went on to explain how Kelsey Grammar's version of the character is the one he grew up with and shared his excitement about Doomsday bringing back the original X-Men cast.

In March, Marvel Studios announced the Avengers: Doomsday cast in a lengthy reveal video that confirmed the surprise return of several actors from the original X-Men cast.

Following his return in The Marvels, Kelsey Grammer will reprise his role as Beast, and there's so far been nothing to indicate that the actors from the X-Men prequel movies (which began with 2011's X-Men: First Class) will join them. That's not overly surprising, especially as Kevin Feige got his start in Hollywood working on Bryan Singer's X-Men.

Talking to Entertainment Weekly about Superman, Hoult said he also saw the cast reveal video and quickly noticed that his version of Hank McCoy wasn't on the list. 

"Kelsey was a great Beast," the actor said. "He was the Beast I saw when I was a kid, along with the other actors that they're bringing back, Patrick and Ian and James and all them.

While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has yet to fully introduce its own version of the X-Men, that's quickly coming. But before we head into reboot land with a new "X-Men" movie sometime after the Multiverse Saga ends, the mutants from the Fox era are getting the chance to say goodbye in next year's "Avengers: Doomsday." And among the actors getting one last bite at the apple is "Frasier" star Kelsey Grammer, who will once again portray Hank McCoy, aka Beast.

Nicholas Hoult, who played a younger version of Beast in films like "X-Men: First Class" and "X-Men: Days of Future Past," has now weighed in regarding the character's return in the MCU. Speaking with Entertainment Weekly while promoting James Gunn's "Superman" (in which he plays the villain Lex Luthor), Hoult expressed nothing but positivity regarding Grammer's portrayal of Beast. Now, in a new memoir entitled Karen: A Brother Remembers, Grammer offers new details about his sister’s tragically brief life.

Rather than launching yet another terrible sitcom with the exact same premise, Kelsey Grammer seems intent on finding a new home for the recently-canceled Frasier reboot. Ideally one that will still pay him $2 million an episode.
