फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
Could not find this movie on Hallmark. It showed up on YouTube.
Good enough to watch to the end, but not good enough to recommend.
The writing in the acting all seems very forced. I wanted to like it, but I couldn't warm up to it.
The former boyfriend is not even very likable. Of course, neither is the main character. I wish they would've written more lines for the dog, Zeus.
Continuity issue when she's at the house of the murdered woman. The detective tells her to stay there and don't knock on the door however she goes in and then they show her going for a run and getting whacked with a 2 x 6 in the head. A hit like that would've put her in the hospital and broken her skull.
No spoiler here, but it is a screwy ending.

I found this movie really, really boring. And I love dogs! No, scratch that. I LOVE dogs. But here dogs are used as props, the main character isn't even believable as a dog trainer.
The worst part is it's a really boring Hallmark mystery.
I love cozy mysteries, I don't mind crazy storylines about bakers and floristis who solve crimes. I don't mind stupid unrealistic plots as long as they make me feel good and entertain me.
To be honest I couldn't even finish this one, this film was... bland. I mean the plotholes were hilarious, but not in a good way.
The lead actress is pretty, but the script was way too weak.
The detective - also fine, but weak writing. Same about her friend. Actually they don't even seem to be friends! I mean they say they have such a long history between them, but we see no chemistry, nothing. Just random actresses saying their lines.
Unfortunately very poor writing and directing made this movie unwatchable. I'm being generous with 5 stars.

Jazz Ramsey: A K-9 Mystery (Hallmark)
I really like Rachel Skarsten and Corey Sevier, but they can't save this film. There are too many holes in this story to save it. Some are plot holes, some are continuity problems. Some are problems with the way police investigations are conducted (as an ex-cop I groaned about this all the way through the movie). Though I understand the writers wanted to pair up the former girlfriend/boyfriend combo--Jazz (Skarsten) the dog trainer with Nick (Sevier) the detective, this isn't likely to happen, and suspending disbelief to accept it was difficult.
Some of the casting was difficult. For example, Jazz is mourning her father throughout the movie. He had passed at most a few years ago--when Jazz and Nick had just recently broken up. It said on the tombstone when she visited the cemetery in one scene that he'd been 57 when he died in 2021--so Skarsten, who is 38 in real life and looks her age--would not have been that much younger t his death. Yet in a flashback showing high school age Jazz with her father, when both would have been 20 or so years younger, the actor playing her father actually looks 60 or more. Huh? Do casting directors ever consider these things? This is just one of dozens of "oops" that detract from the film.
The plot could have been interesting. I always preach that one needs to suspend disbelief when it comes to romance or mystery movies from the likes of Hallmark, but there is a limit, after which the film simply becomes much less enjoyable.
Finally, as others mentioned, there was very little screen time for the dog. Hallmark hyped the dog in the previews, but sadly he had too small of a role.

Plot holes a mile wide, continuity errors (my pet peeve) and overall a very implausible story. Not sure why K9 is featured in the title, very few scenes with the dog, he's just a prop. How does a body fit in a hole that is 12 inches by 12 inches - exactly, it doesn't. The lines written for the actors were lame and delivered about as well. It never ceases to amaze me how writers expect their audiences to believe that a layperson can just insert themselves into a police investigation. Pretty soon people are going to stop watching these movies because they're cranked out without regard to quality. Come on, writers, do better.
There are so many lapses of basic police protocol and school security it's ridiculous. Not sure why K9 is featured in the title, very few scenes with the dog, he's just a prop. How does a body fit in a hole that is 12 inches by 12 inches. There are idiotic components like these throughout. The dialogue is typical Hallmark movie, not a Mystery Movie. Its far from the Mystery 101 and Gourmet Mysteries. No witty banter. . And the music is so bad it puts you to sleep. Pretty soon people are going to stop watching these movies because they're cranked out without regard to quality.
Who is running Hallmark these days? And where did the writers disappear to?
