I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World too struggles to maintain its initial promise as it progresses. The premise is intriguing, with the protagonist gaining extraordinary abilities and navigating two worlds. However, as the story unfolds, it often relies on clichéd tropes, making the plot predictable. Character development tends to be superficial, with potential arcs left unexplored. Despite these shortcomings, the series still offers moments of excitement and creativity for those who enjoy the genre. The other thing is how the protagonist transforms from overweight and "ugly" to shredded and beautiful when he gets his powers. I'm torn on this decision because of how you chose to look at it. On one hand, maybe the character hated his physical appearance and wanted to be as commercially attractive as possible, only concerned with keeping his personality in tact. On the other hand, the show makes it seem like in order to be perfect, you wouldn't be overweight and you need good looks, not just a good personality. Something about it was just off to me from the beginning, as I thought the decision messed with the potential message of the premise. Overall an enjoyable isekai, but it wouldn't be at the top of my recommended list.
