फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
Granted, I wasn't exactly harboring any grand expectations to this movie given its title and premise. But still, with it being a movie that I had neither seen nor heard about, of course I opted to give the movie a fair chance.
However, this movie was little more than an excuse for writer Kent Roudebush and director Jim Wynorski to show off scantily clad women shaking and getting naked for no reason. It was rather pathetic.
Of course I was not familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, and I can't claim that I was particularly impressed with what I saw on the screen.
The special effects, or lack thereof rather, is so poor that you can't help but laugh when you see the leftover 1990s graphics that were used in this movie.
This was an all-time new low for Full Moon Features.
Now, I am sure that there is an immature audience out there that enjoy pointless movies such as this. I just can't claim that I was a part of that audience.
My rating of "Giantess Battle Attack" lands on a generous two out of ten stars.

I learned of Jim Wynorski in summer 2001 when I rented his "Chopping Mall" from the neighborhood video store (people who only knew Blockbuster have no idea what they missed by shunning hole-in-the-wall video stores). I didn't see any of his work again until I happened to come across a number of his later movies on Tubi (basically a non-subscription version of Netflix or Hulu).
Anyway, "Giantess Battle Attack" is very much made for fourteen-year-old boys. One scene in particular makes clear who the target audience is. Between this movie, "Bigfoot or Bust" and "Murderbot", I think that it's safe to say Jim Wynorski has the same sort of mind Mel Brooks has.
Easy to enjoy if you're in the mood for nice, brainless fun.

Giantess Battle Attack is idiotic, immature, and obnoxious... but it did manage to wring a few reluctant laughs out of me. Most of it is basically gibberish - even more nonsensical than it's predecessor, Attack of the 50 Foot CamGirl. Still, I felt it was a little more entertaining, mainly due to the inclusion of a few sympathetic characters and an increased focus on the humour. Some will no doubt be drawn to this film because of the sex-appeal, but I can't really recommend it even on that front... After all, it features one of the least sexy sex scenes I've ever seen in a movie (a power drill???), which it reuses a second time à la The Room (an homage, perhaps? Either way, it makes for awkward viewing). All-in-all, it's pretty bad, but I guess it's at least not as insufferable as the first one.
I previously watched GIANTESS ATTACK VS MECHA FEMBOT, also from Full Moon, which I thought was a pretty decent B-movie for what its worth. I thought this was a follow-up, but in fact it turns out to be a sequel (as far as I can make out) to ATTACK OF THE 50 FT CAMGIRL. Sadly, unlike FEMBOT, it's a crushing viewing experience. Despite the short running time, very little happens in this movie, which is made up of the usual excruciating dialogue scenes between non-actors and appallingly ad-libbed humour. Jim Wyrnoski has a long career in this kind of celebratory trash but even this must be a low point for him. The kaiju-style action is limited to the last five minutes and, believe me, it's not worth waiting for.
So very few lighthearted comedy we see today, and this is not just a good fetish-film, but a solid product in general.
The 50 Foot Camgirl had one flaw for me: everyone was nasty. Here the Original Camgirl is relatable, in a position she can do a heroin's journey.
Then we have some good twists and turns in the script. Nothing complicated, but good and twist. Also, the casting was great, especialy for Anna, the dominatrix attitude perfectly fit here.
The lighting and camrea-work is solid too, we get the promised fights, some romantic stuff, and even the cameo-characters work in their low-budget way, pushing the movie forward.
There were plenty of puns and jokes, I have no complaints.
