My School President follows the story of Tinn, a high school student secretly crushing on Gun, the head of the music club and the lead singer of the band Chinzhilla.
Honestly, I slept on this series at first. I dropped it after just one episode because I'd already watched so many BLs set in high school or university and felt burned out. But when I ran out of new shows to watch, I came back to My School President, lol!
Lesson learned: never judge a series too quickly.
After watching a super dark Japanese BL, I felt like I needed something light and fluffy as a palate cleanser. While the first couple of episodes didn't hook me right away, things started to click around episode 3 when Tinn and Gun's bond began to deepen.
At first, I thought it might follow a typical enemies-to-lovers trope (which I love), but even though it doesn't go that route, it never stopped being entertaining. The characters and their chemistry really carry the story.
I didn't know who Gemini and Fourth were until I saw them in Moonlight Chicken, where their chemistry was amazing. GMMTV really knows how to pair their actors. Even though this was their first BL series together, GeminiFourth looked incredibly natural, cute, comfortable, and free of any awkward or cringey moments.
Gun's goal of becoming Tinn's boyfriend? Too cute. His little flirty daydreams add so much fluff and charm, it seriously brings back memories of having a teenage crush.
The pacing of the show is great, and the romance feels authentic and not forced. Watching Tinn gradually gain the confidence to flirt with Gun was so satisfying.
And let's talk about Sound and Win (WinnySatang), their chemistry is next level. Their constant bickering adds the perfect amount of spice and fun to the story.
At its core, the heart of My School President is Tinn's unwavering support for Gun, helping him chase his dreams, putting in effort without expecting anything back. It's an old-school kind of love story, and it's genuinely heartwarming.
On the other hand, the humor, especially from Gun's friends, keeps the vibe light and fun throughout.
This series doesn't rely on over-the-top drama or drag things out unnecessarily. Whenever a problem comes up, it's addressed and resolved without feeling forced or overly complicated.
The acting and writing feel super relatable, you can genuinely see real high schoolers in these characters. It's not just the performances but also the shared moments that feel so honest and familiar.
For me, My School President is one of the best high school romance BLs out there. It nails the fluff, character development, chemistry, and plot. And the OST? Absolute chef's kiss.
My School President proves you don't need NC scenes to make a BL amazing, all you need is top-tier chemistry and a story that comes from the heart.

P'Korn, congratulations for your directorial debut. The whole gang of fresh actors is Narak mak. Each one has exceptional skills of their own. Apparently a lot of references have been used, no idea if they have paid for rights. The lead actors have a good chemistry. I remember twitter comparing them to OhmNanon. But here is an advise, take it slow. They are just kids. Don't pressurize them yet.
The story is typical high school romance and hence is a definite recommendation to those who prefer fluff. Instead of a serious tone the story majors in comedic element, so it is perfect for those who like to watch without indulging emotionally. Mark's umbrella would be remembered for long. Win and Sound, i am looking forward to your future works as this wasn't exactly your best foot forward.

If someone asked me to describe MSP in one word, without the slightest hesitation it would be: "Wow." GMMTV really outdid themselves this time and I already consider their work as masterpiece for a long time. Gemini and Fourth have officially become my favorite acting duo and I believe that I will meet them in many other projects besides Moonlight chincken. The supporting couples were also great and the chemistry was not lacking in either case. The soundtrack is just perfect and I fell in love with the opening song from the first episodes when I first heard it. It would be I'd like Fourth to sing it in English, just like Jeff Satur did his Why don't you stay, because the sound, the lyrics and the dynamics create a perfect combination. And finally, the plot itself... I don't even know where to start, because it would I wanted to highlight almost everything. Anyone who saw Bad Buddy will definitely love MSP as well. Personally, I liked the story of Tinn and Gun much more, which is also due to the already mentioned music, the cast and, last but not least, the wonderfully crafted scene yr. It wasn't too fast, not too slow. Everything fit together beautifully, and what I liked the most, the creators didn't pull any sudden revelation about a common childhood or something like that into the plot.
This was the sweetest, cutest and funniest BL show i've ever seen. I loved everything! The story, music, jokes, relationships... Gun's & Tinn's relationship was wholesome. I loved how they were slowly falling in love. One of the best high school shows. Wow, now I even miss my high school days. The ending (prom, last day in school) literally made me cry. Well, it wasn't like that on my last day of school - me and my classmates were standing in the hallway and we were like: "So... It's over." The hallway was dark and we were just standing there... Man, it was hard. Anyways! It was perfect. Thank you. BTW I hated the fact that they made my favorite teacher homophobic 💔

This bl was everything I needed to brighten my days. This was so so fluffy and it made me scream so many times.
It's the type of show that brings you so much comfort, so much happiness.
Pros:
-The music. I usually HATE when there is music or a guitar in a tv show but these songs were BOPS I'm telling you. The theme song especially is stuck in my head. And if music isn't for you just skip these parts, please don't let this stop you from watching.
Cons: NOTHING Even tho there were some scenes that annoyed me for example some arguments and yellings from some members of the band here and there (thankfully not from the main couple, these were minor arguments) for sometimes not even a good enough reason, they were thankfully all dealt with and everyone apologized so I was really happy and actually really touched.
In conclusion: JUST WATCH THIS SHOW YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

Pros:
- Fourthgemini was absolutely ADORABLE. They were kinda cliche but that cliche you absolutely adore and miss those days: the one that makes you melt your insides actually and feel super super single
- It was FUNNY. It made me miss romantic comedies. I rarely laugh at tv shows but especially some of Tinn's fantasies in his head made me die. Omg just remembering these scenes makes me laugh HE'S SO CUTE
- The bromance. The band was amazing with all their adorable bromance moments. This squad is my favorite, they became my family

- Dealing with issues. I loved how this show also dealt with homophobia, family issues (and other stuff regarding the family but *spoilers removed*) etc
