I honestly didn't expect much at first, but I ended up really enjoying it - glad I gave it a shot because the episodes just keep getting better. I originally watched this for Guide, but I ended up staying for the whole squad.
Bake Me Please can be a bit cliché - the classic sunshine guy falls for the cold and grumpy one - but somehow, it still kept me entertained. As painful as some parts are, the series gives off this warm, comforting vibe.
It also touches on how complicated relationships can get, and the emotional struggles that come with being in one. Plus, it dives into the reality of unrequited love - loving someone who just doesn't love you back.
---
What I liked:
✅ There are only a few characters, so the story's easy to follow.
✅ The production value is pretty solid.
✅ The cinematography is beautiful, and the OST hits just right.
✅ Peach and Chin have decent chemistry - it's not fiery, but it works.
✅ Everyone did a great job, especially Ohm and Poom, but I have to give a special shoutout to Guide - I just love his accent.
✅ It would've been even better if Poom had more screen time or was one of the main leads.
✅ The love square actually added a little spice without making things toxic.
✅ Supportive grandma
---
What didn't work for me:
✅ Chin's character is honestly hard to root for - he's too unreasonable, self-centered, and barely grows throughout the series.
✅ The lack of clear communication (especially on Chin's end) gets frustrating.
✅ I lowkey wished Peach and Guy were the endgame, but of course that's not happening - Ohm (Chin) is clearly one of the main leads.
---
Overall, Bake Me Please is a cooking-themed BL with a simple, easy-to-digest plot and easy on the eyes cast. It's not a masterpiece, but it feels grounded and the casting was on point.
If you're looking for a BL series you can binge in one sitting without getting emotionally wrecked, give Bake Me Please a shot.

Oxin's BL series are honestly starting to feel like a joke. It's like each new show gets worse than the last. The acting in this one is especially cringey during the argument scenes-so unnatural. Not everyone is bad though; a few of the supporting characters actually did a decent job.
What really threw me off were the green jokes. I was getting goosebumps-and not in a good way. If you're familiar with Oxin Films, you'll know they always sneak in these kinds of lines every episode. And yeah, they're still cringey. If you understand Tagalog, you'd totally get what I mean.
But this time it's even more vulgar. Like, lines that actually say "horny," "experiencing boner," "it seems like you're cumming," or a guy doing a sex video call. Seriously? This is on YouTube where minors can easily access it. That's just not okay.
I'm disappointed because Oxin usually nails the production value. Hermoso had real potential-honestly, I've never seen a BL with this kind of concept before. A love story between a fisherman and a boss? And the setting? A boat and a sardines factory! That's actually refreshing and unique. But they should've toned down the green jokes and avoided the vulgar stuff. This series even have threesome scene on it, oh my!!! 😂 The other main lead already have a wife and still get involved with a guy.
Btw, the guys here are hot though with all the six-packs abs and a tanned skin-definitely that Filipino beauty vibe. They got that right this time. But, these actors seriously need acting workshops. No wonder it feels like Oxin Films always rushes their productions.
So overall, I liked the following things:
-Good production value -Excellent cinematography and OST -Hot guys
Dislike: -Cringe acting -Uses green jokes and vulgar words every episode -Main lead has wife but have an affair with his boss -Unnecessary threesome scene.

I honestly didn't expect to enjoy this series at first, since I'm not usually into sports-themed dramas - but the first episode hooked me right away. It was intense, fast-paced, and way beyond what I expected. Every scene kept me glued. Not a single dull moment.
Knock Out isn't your typical light, feel-good watch. It dives into violence, injustice, and betrayal. Thun starts off as a hard character to connect with - he's clearly burdened by emotional scars from his past. Meanwhile, Keen's father died in a painful way and Ken struggles financially, which makes his character miserable. But somehow, despite their circumstances, they find comfort and safety in each other. Their bond feels electric. There's a magnetic pull between them that's impossible to ignore. And let's be real - the sexual tension is off the charts, and the NC scenes? Absolutely scorching.
The side couple has wonderful chemistry too, but there's barely any relationship build-up and no backstory- they pretty much just hook up out of nowhere. 😂
This is the kind of series where the villain gets under your skin in a superlative form- the type that attacks in sneaky, underhanded ways. From the start, I already knew that man was never up to any good and I found myself pausing the screen several times because the action and thrill had me on edge.
The pacing is fast, but not messy - it's packed with twists and turns that keep you engaged. The cast did an amazing job, even the antagonists delivered strong performances. The cinematography is gorgeous, and the soundtrack is perfectly matched to every scene.
Don't let the negative reviews sway you. Watch a few episodes first and judge it for yourself - especially if you enjoy darker BLs with action and depth.
Overall, Knock Out is a gripping blend of sports, action, and romance. It's polished, intense, and backed by solid character development. Definitely worth the watch.
