Having read the other reviews I think it is best summed up as being not as good as boring !
There is an obvious predictably about this type of film, and one can accept that, however it was awfully cringy. Predictable is okay but when coupled with cringy it truly sends it into, " I wish I had done something else for an hour and a half." No doubt there will be some folks that just love the story for the story and they will consider it 86 minutes well spent. I watched this at Christmas/New Year time when a bit of smaltz is often what is looked for and is in some way acceptable. Perhaps there should be a seasonal recommendation endorsement on films of this nature, who knows it may encourage more viewers.
Ba humbug !

Unfortunately this was a very long, boring and predictable movie.
The acting was also pretty mediocre, so even it went from bad to worse.
And this is supposed to include the life of a doctor , but the producer did nothing at all to even validate the medical aspects of this Hallmark type movie or maybe Lifetime movie.
However, it was a movie of this genre, which I didn't expect on Amazon Prime.
I can't believe I sadly wasted an evening watching it.
I kept watching to see if it might get any better; however, it only got worse.
I gave it 2 stars because the actors were attractive.
Save yourself and don't bother watching.

Well I rarely, if ever, review movies. Maybe ones that really touched me. I read the reviews after watching this movie that I loved and felt compelled to submit a review. Everyone is entitled to their opinion so those who have poorly reviewed the movie perhaps had differing expectations to me. I had none - as it came on autoplay after I had just watched a different movie. & I'm so glad it did.
Very briefly summarised, I would say this movie made me reflect on following your passion and getting paid with life fulfillment. The small town setting I really liked, it made me think how much I like living in the countryside.
I see the two lead performers: Galandriel Stineman and Aaron Mees, as having excellent chemistry. It was a really sweet and nice story.
I find what a lot of people consider to be 'bad acting' to be just how some people actually act in real life. These are real people who I'm sure every one of us has met someone like that from small towns and villages. In this statement I refer to some of the supporting cast. The leads were perfect in my opinion and I will seek other films they each have been in because of this.
I am unsure if it is a lifetime movie or a TV movie but those labels never concern me. I studied film and just really appreciate a movie that speaks to me. This one did. Some films I like from the 1940s b movies, some stylised films, some with big production values, others independent small budget 'story' pictures. I would say this one is a story picture for me.
So if you want to see a nice story, about two people - both living lives and following their dreams - who end up falling in love. About a sweet community where everyone cares about each other. Sure, there's some gossip. But who cares. Community is everything. Great friends and family support those two in this movie. And a happy ending. (Sometimes I appreciate a 'French ending' when the story calls for it. Other times, a happy ending makes sense.)
Another reviewer suggested this may be good Christmas viewing. When some people can be more relaxed about what movies they choose to watch. Watching them for sheer enjoyment of family time watching movies together at Christmas. So I would say it would be great for that. Or just in general. Depends what you like.
I enjoyed it. I recommend it 😊

7.2 stars.
A bit on the slow side, however, I really like the lead actors. The male actor seems quite methodical and deliberate in his acting style. He doesn't have a whole lot of emotion going on there. That's OK I'm not here for the men. The female I've seen in a few movies she's always great. She has great facial expressions and a lot of personality.
The plot was quite formulaic. Nothing new to see here. A female surgeon comes home to her small town where she meets and falls in love with the town doctor. Come to find out she knew him when they were in high school, but not very well. He was that "scrawny" brother of one of her acquaintances. Now he is this town's most eligible Dr. Bachelor.
You can guess how the story goes. Will she come back home permanently to practice medicine with her new love interest, or set aside her feelings to pursue her dreams of being an illustrious surgeon in the big city? No mystery, of course it has a happy ending, they always do.

I should have turned off this turkey after enduring the first 5 mins of dialogue between female doctors. Make it end already.
I played at 2x speed and used the slider on video player when necessary. Quite often....
There was no spark, no life between the protagonists. Everybody wanted them to hookup? It painted a very dreary, said existence. I was waiting for a horse to wait through the middle of town. Can't fathom that a small town would be that inane. Was this done on purpose to ensure no one wants to visit a small town?
Male doctor with psych issues is ready to plow female doctor's field after 3 days? Come on, man!
Migraine experience!
