Moloch

I was really impressed by this series! Dark and captivating, beautiful music and scenary. The plot is very well thought and kept me engaged at all times. All the main characters are interesting and have something to offer. I watched it in 2 days and totally recommend it!

But this is not one of them. Breaks the cardinal rule which is to have at least one character that an audience can relate to. In spite of the interesting premise, after an episode or two the viewer no longer cares about anyone onscreen.

Not one single character is right in the head, if someone else would try to portray French people like this serial does, French would feel extremely offended. Everyone has 'blesurres' secretes, sad as fk, dark as fk, but important as French cinematography is doing lately ruining the legacy of Jean Paul Belmondo, Alain Delon, Jean Reno, French ppl who actually knew how to act. I didn't rated this yet, being at just second episode, but maaan do they try my nerves with the superior attitude with no substrate.

I was hoping for something more clever but was disappointed. This is a very basic show with a story told a thousand times better before. I actually fell asleep during the final episode and I'm not even sorry I missed the ending - that is how little I was interested. Not even gonna bother checking if there's a second season coming.

It's very slow and boring show. The acting is wooden and there is not a single character to care about. The lead is a horrible person I hated from the start and wished she would end up burning.

I think they were thinking they were making a very artistic and noir show, but they forgot the show part.

I don't speak French, but I can understand a lot of it as my wife is from France and I spent some time there. This show is very dark and the further along you go the darker it gets. The story itself is about a French city where people keep getting what looks to be spontaneous combustion occurring to them. The story surrounds a man with clear mental trauma, in fact I would say most of the characters have been through mental trauma including the protagonists.

I will give this film a 6/10 as it holds some intrigue with a major mystery basically being a whodunnit style of film. It does hold some entertainment value so give it a whirl if you can handle mature, dark entertainment.
