Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic The Hedgehog, infamously known as Sonic 06, is the worst Sonic game ever made. I'll give at this, the soundtrack is well made especially with the songs in the end credits. But it doesn't really matter since everything else came out a disgrace both as a game and to the franchise. The story is unengaging and tests the relationship of Sonic and Elise in the most horrible kind of way. Despite the designs on the cutscenes at the beginning and the end are nice, the gaming graphics are weak. And the characters are unappealing that feels like a slap in the face to the ones we know. But then comes the biggest problem of them all. The gameplay is absolutely terrible. Not just the fact we barely gotten anything from the game other than just a story. But the game glitches out that makes the game look like it takes forever to finish. Especially when we get to the first level. So in the end, this is a very huge low for the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise. And for how horrendous it turned out to be, I wouldn't even recommend this to Sonic fans but to listen to the soundtrack. At least it's better than to waste your time with the gameplay that gave us no strategy at all.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 promised to be the milestone 15th Anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The game promised to improve a lot of the mechanical limitation of previous Sonic 3D series but instead it proved to be a fatally broken game that was poorly conceived, overly rushed, bugged beyond comprehension and prove to be the most frustrating and most unsatisfying game to play both of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. I can only give a brief rundown of just how broken the game because someone could easily write a full book of just how bad it really is.

The game's physics are sloppy, Sonic has gone from being the fastest thing alive to being slightly faster than Shadow the Hedgehog. I think Shadow might even be faster in this game than Sonic is. This is especially obvious when Sonic is carrying the Princess which you will be doing plenty of in this game. The Homing attack is equally bad which slows you down more than speeds you up and has pauses you in mid air. So rather than Sonic continuing to each enemy in a ball he uncurls in mid air and one wrong move will send you careening off your course and to your death.

All thought Sonic lacks much of his speed from previous games he still can get pretty fast. But even when you do manage to get enough speed there's always something in your way to instantly slow you down. When Sonic slows down he doesn't just slow down he gets knocked back on his ass. This is something seen in most Mario games of the present era but why is this happening to Sonic? This makes timed missions more hard than they should be.

The control scheme is extremely unstable, when you get Sonic running at high speeds along a narrow ramp you probably will go flying off into a bottomless pit, it's aggravating! The Camera will probably be your worst enemy in this game as it's never where you want it to be.

Besides the game's awful game mechanics we were also treated to a half-assed story line of Sonic falling in love with a human girl. Yeah, what? Now Sega deserves a lot of the blame for pushing this game for a quick Christmas time release, but Sonic Team is still equally to blame. Sonic Team is the one who designed the game with the most ridiculous levels including the Mach Speed Levels where you run with little to no control at a million miles per hour, wrote the dumbest scenario in any video game ever. This game deserves the same fate as ET for the Atari, be buried forever.

After displaying greatness in the fourth generation and sixth generation of video games, the game makers of the Sonic franchise went on to create a Sonic game for the seventh generation. Bizarrely, they used a title that was used by an early 1990s Sega game. Well, it's amazing that the new game didn't cause any confusion.

Although this is just another 3d Sonic game, the game also marked the beginning when certain things are changed forever. And that change certainly isn't a favorable one.

When Tails started speaking in early Sonic TV series and games, his speaking role was done by young boys. It's really traditional and best to use boys to play boys to reflect them. But when Sega took the absurd step in using old bimbos to be Tails, it was never the same. And that absurdity started in this rubbish. Once a bimbo took over, more bimbos took over to this day.

As a gamer who adores Tails, it's really disheartening to know that Tails, who is a boy, will have his speaking role done by undesirables who aren't boys seemingly to no end. Oh Sega, why are you doing this?

Okay i have some problems of this game:

Number 1: the load of this game is slowly and this load make everyone that played this game make nervous

Number 2: the camera

Number 3: amy is to garbage on this game (because she wonts more sonic than everyone on this life)

Number 4: the graphics are more garbage

Number 5: the new type of eggman is awful

Number 6: i don´t wanna say about the kiss

Number 7: backward languages

Number 8: the physics of this game is horrible

Number 9: what happens to blaze after the sacrifize (she allives because of the restart of the timeline or no?)

And the overall 4.8 verry bad game thank you sega from this.

this game was celebrating sonic's 15th birthday in 2006. the game was called sonic the hedgehog...so now we have 3 sonic the hedgehogs but it gets worse on the same day sonic the hedgehog was released there was another sonic game on the game boy called "sonic the hedgehog" a port to the original but ill talk about that some other time. so lets call sonic the hedgehog "sonic 1" and sonic the hedgehog "sonic 8 bit" and sonic the hedgehog "sonic 06" and sonic the hedgehog "sonic Genesis".jazz I'm already complaining about the game and yet i didn't get into the game play yet.OK so like i said eralyer sonic 06 was celebrating sonic's 15th anniversary .the game play was boring. first off sonic moves slower the a car going 5 miles per hour I'm serous i cant tell you how boring it is playing as sonic getting from point A to point B because hes slow. in some sonic stages sonic will pick up the pace and move as fast as how he is supposed to be. but you can only move left and right and jump and you cant control your jumps! does that happen in sonic adventure? no it does not.the part are boring and lacks any charm.if you played any sonic adventure game you will know how to control sonic. but this time sonic has a slide kick but its useless.you can also play as shadow, tails, Amy, blaze, and more. but they all suck! well ill talk about a few...shadow: shadows game play is similar to sonics game play but shadows game play is a lot of combat and its boring. blaze: the best person to play as because shes faster then sonic! also her game play is really fun. to bad you only get to play as her for like 5 Min's! Amy: if you like playing as Amy in this game i will kill you! Amy is very slow, has this double jump, and turns invisible. when Amy does a double jump she jumps straight up and loses all momentum and falls straight down and you cant control her landing. turning invisible is stupid it does not make any since. sliver:the new guy. he has the force, he can fly for a short period of time, and launch things at enemy's. but HES VERY SLOW! he is as slow as Amy. this game has a lot of glitches and its annoying. if your sonic and your on a metal box start doing the slide kick and see what happens. as knuckles if you climb on a wall and get stuck no matter how many times you try to jump off you stay on. when you fight sliver as sonic silver can launch you out of the map and keep you in the battle for hours...grab a ring and stand in a corner silver will launch you in the wall and sonic will grab the ring he drooped prepare for the worst battle in video game history. everyone remembers there first encounter with silver. and those load times! they can last up to 30 seconds. this is probably the most glitched game of all time and i mean it!and finally I'm going to talk about the worst part of the game. gamers call it "the worst kiss in video game history" sonic gets killed my mephilis and to bring him back Elis has to kiss him...WHY!?!? some game critics called it the worst Sean in any video game and it killed the sonic series.the only good things about the game is the music and the graphics! don't buy sonic 06 because it is bad but not the worst. the worst is sonic Genesis. SONIC 06 GETS A BOMB!
