Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 promised to be the milestone 15th Anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The game promised to improve a lot of the mechanical limitation of previous Sonic 3D series but instead it proved to be a fatally broken game that was poorly conceived, overly rushed, bugged beyond comprehension and prove to be the most frustrating and most unsatisfying game to play both of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. I can only give a brief rundown of just how broken the game because someone could easily write a full book of just how bad it really is.

The game's physics are sloppy, Sonic has gone from being the fastest thing alive to being slightly faster than Shadow the Hedgehog. I think Shadow might even be faster in this game than Sonic is. This is especially obvious when Sonic is carrying the Princess which you will be doing plenty of in this game. The Homing attack is equally bad which slows you down more than speeds you up and has pauses you in mid air. So rather than Sonic continuing to each enemy in a ball he uncurls in mid air and one wrong move will send you careening off your course and to your death.

All thought Sonic lacks much of his speed from previous games he still can get pretty fast. But even when you do manage to get enough speed there's always something in your way to instantly slow you down. When Sonic slows down he doesn't just slow down he gets knocked back on his ass. This is something seen in most Mario games of the present era but why is this happening to Sonic? This makes timed missions more hard than they should be.

The control scheme is extremely unstable, when you get Sonic running at high speeds along a narrow ramp you probably will go flying off into a bottomless pit, it's aggravating! The Camera will probably be your worst enemy in this game as it's never where you want it to be.

Besides the game's awful game mechanics we were also treated to a half-assed story line of Sonic falling in love with a human girl. Yeah, what? Now Sega deserves a lot of the blame for pushing this game for a quick Christmas time release, but Sonic Team is still equally to blame. Sonic Team is the one who designed the game with the most ridiculous levels including the Mach Speed Levels where you run with little to no control at a million miles per hour, wrote the dumbest scenario in any video game ever. This game deserves the same fate as ET for the Atari, be buried forever.

Sonic the hedgehog 06 is like the worst game that ever made. When I heard that,I wanted to play it and see why lots of people hates it so much...I beat the game...and it was a mess...

What I loved: 1. The levels design are really good. I can watch it all day long.

2. The game's soundtrack is also really well made.

What I hate: 1. The loading screen is annoying 2. The game's broken 3. Animation sucks 4. The beginning cutscene is better what we got!

5. The story is really bad like really bad as hell.

6. And terrible framerate!

It's a disaster game! I won't recommend you to play it 2.5/10.

After displaying greatness in the fourth generation and sixth generation of video games, the game makers of the Sonic franchise went on to create a Sonic game for the seventh generation. Bizarrely, they used a title that was used by an early 1990s Sega game. Well, it's amazing that the new game didn't cause any confusion.

Although this is just another 3d Sonic game, the game also marked the beginning when certain things are changed forever. And that change certainly isn't a favorable one.

When Tails started speaking in early Sonic TV series and games, his speaking role was done by young boys. It's really traditional and best to use boys to play boys to reflect them. But when Sega took the absurd step in using old bimbos to be Tails, it was never the same. And that absurdity started in this rubbish. Once a bimbo took over, more bimbos took over to this day.

As a gamer who adores Tails, it's really disheartening to know that Tails, who is a boy, will have his speaking role done by undesirables who aren't boys seemingly to no end. Oh Sega, why are you doing this?

this game was celebrating sonic's 15th birthday in 2006. the game was called sonic the hedgehog...so now we have 3 sonic the hedgehogs but it gets worse on the same day sonic the hedgehog was released there was another sonic game on the game boy called "sonic the hedgehog" a port to the original but ill talk about that some other time. so lets call sonic the hedgehog "sonic 1" and sonic the hedgehog "sonic 8 bit" and sonic the hedgehog "sonic 06" and sonic the hedgehog "sonic Genesis".jazz I'm already complaining about the game and yet i didn't get into the game play yet.OK so like i said eralyer sonic 06 was celebrating sonic's 15th anniversary .the game play was boring. first off sonic moves slower the a car going 5 miles per hour I'm serous i cant tell you how boring it is playing as sonic getting from point A to point B because hes slow. in some sonic stages sonic will pick up the pace and move as fast as how he is supposed to be. but you can only move left and right and jump and you cant control your jumps! does that happen in sonic adventure? no it does not.the part are boring and lacks any charm.if you played any sonic adventure game you will know how to control sonic. but this time sonic has a slide kick but its useless.you can also play as shadow, tails, Amy, blaze, and more. but they all suck! well ill talk about a few...shadow: shadows game play is similar to sonics game play but shadows game play is a lot of combat and its boring. blaze: the best person to play as because shes faster then sonic! also her game play is really fun. to bad you only get to play as her for like 5 Min's! Amy: if you like playing as Amy in this game i will kill you! Amy is very slow, has this double jump, and turns invisible. when Amy does a double jump she jumps straight up and loses all momentum and falls straight down and you cant control her landing. turning invisible is stupid it does not make any since. sliver:the new guy. he has the force, he can fly for a short period of time, and launch things at enemy's. but HES VERY SLOW! he is as slow as Amy. this game has a lot of glitches and its annoying. if your sonic and your on a metal box start doing the slide kick and see what happens. as knuckles if you climb on a wall and get stuck no matter how many times you try to jump off you stay on. when you fight sliver as sonic silver can launch you out of the map and keep you in the battle for hours...grab a ring and stand in a corner silver will launch you in the wall and sonic will grab the ring he drooped prepare for the worst battle in video game history. everyone remembers there first encounter with silver. and those load times! they can last up to 30 seconds. this is probably the most glitched game of all time and i mean it!and finally I'm going to talk about the worst part of the game. gamers call it "the worst kiss in video game history" sonic gets killed my mephilis and to bring him back Elis has to kiss him...WHY!?!? some game critics called it the worst Sean in any video game and it killed the sonic series.the only good things about the game is the music and the graphics! don't buy sonic 06 because it is bad but not the worst. the worst is sonic Genesis. SONIC 06 GETS A BOMB!

The first Sonic game dates back to the early 1990s or perhaps the late 1980s. The game was such a hit that it spawned numerous sequels and other installments. While a lot of Sonic's games were well received, he also had some bad times. And this game which happens to share the same title as the first game was one of Sonic's bad times. The developers were in a rush to release the game on a certain holiday that they didn't have time to thoroughly inspect the game for flaws.

But the fact that the game has programming issues is only one of the things that I find unfavorable. This game also marked the beginning were sluts took over providing the words of Tails. The sluts continue to do so to this day. When will Tails go back to the boys where he belongs? Boys are best for him because Tails is a boy. I hope the developers understand that.

Not only is this the worst sonic game ever but it also could be the worst game on Xbox/PS3. I don't know what's worse: the loading time or the Sliver battle. Ahh yes the Silver battle. Before I continue talking about this awful battle, let me say (if you're unaware) this game has unbelievably bad glitches. For instance, the physics are completely screwed up - Sonic is able to walk on ceilings and not fall off! Also, Silver's ball puzzle is really just a hard, pointless mini-game. Now- back to the Silver battle. Everyone who tried it always seems to remember their first encounter. It's almost impossible to hit him because every single time you walk up to him he pulls you into the air and says an annoying line: "It's no use...Take this!" It takes hours! People say Sonic Genesis is the worst Sonic game. No No No. This is the stink BOMB!

A very nice game, I advise you to try it. Don't pay attention to what the critics say, but the game has some glitches, and the loading screen is very long. The story is very enjoyable, but the gameplay is very bad for me. However, I enjoyed the gameplay, but not...Not worth ten dollars but it's a good game and I enjoyed playing as Shadow and Silver they were good and even The music is very good and the best music for me is the volcano music, it was really good And the negatives of the glitches and the somewhat stupid story of how a hedgehog loves a human girl and playing with Tails is disgusting in an unnatural way and that's all my review.

Sonic The Hedgehog, infamously known as Sonic 06, is the worst Sonic game ever made. I'll give at this, the soundtrack is well made especially with the songs in the end credits. But it doesn't really matter since everything else came out a disgrace both as a game and to the franchise. The story is unengaging and tests the relationship of Sonic and Elise in the most horrible kind of way. Despite the designs on the cutscenes at the beginning and the end are nice, the gaming graphics are weak. And the characters are unappealing that feels like a slap in the face to the ones we know. But then comes the biggest problem of them all. The gameplay is absolutely terrible. Not just the fact we barely gotten anything from the game other than just a story. But the game glitches out that makes the game look like it takes forever to finish. Especially when we get to the first level. So in the end, this is a very huge low for the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise. And for how horrendous it turned out to be, I wouldn't even recommend this to Sonic fans but to listen to the soundtrack. At least it's better than to waste your time with the gameplay that gave us no strategy at all.

I've seen many sonic fans trying to say this game is not bad, that it's an underrated sonic game. NO! No, it's not. This game is a rush, and heavily unfinished. The game's glitches and bugs are not funny, they are the type that makes the game irritating to play. You'll be fighting the camera more than the actual enemies in the game. Such as Shadow's boss fight with Silver. The story is both confusing and stupid. They did characters like Blaze, my favorite Sonic character completely dirty. Elise is a terrible character, one of the worst in the franchise. The whole thing with Elise's tears releasing Eblise is one of the dumbest things in the whole story. This game is so bad, I rather play Sonic Forces. The game is lack luster and is too short, at least with that game I can enjoy it better than this mess.

I used to play this Sonic game on Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 when I was a teenager. I thought I it was going to be ace but it's actually not very good as the other Sonic games . It doesn't even make any sense to me. It appears to have too many bugs and glitches. Its loading times is very slow. The game itself is kinda very cumbersome and disappointing. It is being considered not only the worst games in the Sonic franchise but also among one of the worst video games of all time. At least the music is good.

The Japanese company Sega, a subsidiary of Sega Sammy Holdings Ltd. Should be ashamed of this bad Sonic game.

If you're reading this, don't buy it. Don't attempt to waste your money on this rubbish. Avoid it as you would a bullet.

Go and play some classic Sonic games instead.

Okay i have some problems of this game:

Number 1: the load of this game is slowly and this load make everyone that played this game make nervous

Number 2: the camera

Number 3: amy is to garbage on this game (because she wonts more sonic than everyone on this life)

Number 4: the graphics are more garbage

Number 5: the new type of eggman is awful

Number 6: i don´t wanna say about the kiss

Number 7: backward languages

Number 8: the physics of this game is horrible

Number 9: what happens to blaze after the sacrifize (she allives because of the restart of the timeline or no?)

And the overall 4.8 verry bad game thank you sega from this.

The story makes no sense and it feels like the sum of all the terrible scenes from Kingdom Hearts (there's plenty). Soulless characters, no motivation, no feeling put in the development of anything in the plot.

The annoying girl's animations are good, but she's one of many characters. Everybody except her is terribly animated, both NPCs and main characters. Face and body movements look like they directly come from Sonic Adventure (which was terrible but also a 1998 game). Also, did the devs know that game animation requires blends to smoothly transition between an action and the other? Because I didn't saw any, another major flaw that contributed to make this "game" look more and more phisically wrong.

Now let's talk about gameplay. The big quesiton is: is there any? There are parts where you could leave the joystick and go make yourself a tea because you didn't need to do anything to progress through those terrible loops. All the rest is a cluster of terrible bugs, glitches, invisible walls, and boring mechanics to play with. The level design is unconsistent and unclear. Also there's a loading screen for everything, even for 3/4 lines of dialogue (not joking).

The only, and I really mean ONLY, people who somewhat deserved to be payed for this monstruosity of a product, are the dubbing actor for the princess and her animator. I can't stress enough how I couldn't see even a spark of originality and dedication in this project.

This "game" is terrible, Sonic falls in love with a human princess, the camera constantly bumps in to things as if there is a physical camera ar cameraman, I would love this game... if I was 2! The first cunscene had great graphics for it's time, but then it starts loading for another cutscene and when it finally comes on, it looks like the actual gameplay, the princess constantly gets captured or better yet gives herself up just to strech the game out, I know that it was in Super Mario Brothers for the NES, but it was 1985, this game was made in 2006, 21 years later, couldn't they think of something like saving more people. speaking of people the townspeople can be saying the shortest of scentences or even one word but their mouths are moving at the speed of light, and one cutscene with Sonic and the princcess, the princess looks at the camera with a creepy smile, and when you beat the game you have to do missions with other sonic charicters, the "game" also for the most part does everything for you and just has you press buttons, there are only short bursts of entertainment and thats while going fast, but the "game" has you fight enemies and Sonic locks on with a haming attack, which eliminates the satasfaction of jumping on a robot, overall this game is bad, dont play it.

Lets split this into categories

Soundtrack All of the music in this is amazing. Mentions to Crisis City, Solaris Phase 2 and All Hail Shadow. Basically this kept Sonic 06 from killing the franchise.

Characters Princess Elise isn't as bad as a character as everyone else thinks, she is quite attractive. Silver, on the other hand, is downright annoying. The boss battle awful. Gameplay awful. Music theme fine.

Story I actually enjoyed the story unlike everyone else.

So while this still is a bad game, it's not as bad as everyone else thinks. I hope a proper polished version of this gets ported to PlayStation Now soon.

This game is good but got ruined by some bugs an glitches i encounter in the game

Ok we all know about how bad this game is. But does it deserve all the hate it gets? in my opinion yes. I have never played a game so broken and boring. A story that makes no sense and has loads of plot holes in it. Graphics that are unimpressive in game and only the FMV scenes look decent since character models in game look bad as well as the humans. Voice acting that is horrible, writing that is bad, characters that are unlikable spicily princess Elise who is useless and selfish. I could go on for ages about how bad it is. The gameplay is bad all around, the camera is really bad and never focuses on what's around you and going up against boss fights it hardly focuses on them. The controls are too sensitive and characters feel very slow, all the characters are unplayable and don't even get me started on the glitches, There are so many cheap deaths like falling through loops, hitting a spring and going through it then killing you. The loading times happen way to often and makes the game more of a chore to go through. The ending is really bad also because it makes you go through it for nothing making all the hours you spent pointless. The towns missions suck plus they are pointless, the game is also really long and has no replay value since the game/loading times drag the game down a lot. The only reason this game gets a two is because of the excellent soundtrack and the sound effects are fine. But these things are not enough to make a good game let alone acceptable. Hands down the game deserves all the hate it gets in my opinion it's the worst game in the entire series and I know there people out there that think labyrinth and genesis GBA are the worst. But Genesis GBA is just a bad port of sonic 1 that you can get a fixed version of. Labyrinth is pretty bad but at least the game was really short and you achieved something in the end since you get sonics shoes back. Overall this game is extremely bad and one that you should avoid at all costs unless you wanna see how bad it is.
