The Man in the Wall

Brennan and Angela end up at a disco. Brennan is really stiff and drinks too much. She ends up in a fight, a guy crashes against a wall, and a mummified body is behind it. The episode plays out in the hip hop world. Brennan, who is incredibly astute at all times, seems out to lunch with the music genre. What I'm saying is, she has had all of this anthropological training, including every century in the past, but seems to not know anything about contemporary popular culture (although that slips at times--Correct writers?). Eventually, the players in the story begin to fight over power. The conclusion proves a bit dull, but it is fun watching Bones negotiate the world she has only a passing interest in.

This episode is so stupid, over-the-top and ridiculous that it would have been better suited to be filmed as an animation. It felt like I was watching an episode of Scooby-Doo instead of a crime show. The entire thing made no sense from the beginning to the end and they didn't really "solve" the case because the ridiculous methods they've used and the conclusions they've reached would have been thrown out of court in real life.

Not as tense as the previous one but still a great one nonetheless.
