Coming from the Far East, the Three Wise Men: Gaspar (Rafael Luis Calvo), Melchor (Félix Dafauce), Baltasar (Antonio Almorós) walk the streets of Madrid with the desire to collect all the toys that they must bring to the children on the magical night of January 5. And over time they resolve sentimental and family problems. During their route they will take advantage of the casual meeting with some adults to make them see their situation and encourage them to have a friendlier reconciliation full of happiness with their respective families. So they try to get a father (Antonio Casas) who abandoned his family to hook up with a younger girl to reunite with his son who has an injured leg, and meanwhile they are imprisoned and share a cell with three criminals (Rafael Vaquero, José Maria Tasso, José Calvo) whom they also help and give gifts.

This is a Christmas comedy with the three wise men looking for toys to distribute on the night of Magical Kings. Jose Maria Elorrieta builds a comedy of manners, full of good intentions, a 'feel good movie', with an excellent cast of actors characteristic of Spanish cinema. And the soundtrack is signed by the classic composer Cristobal Halffter, along with an evocative cinematography showing efficiently 50s Madrid by cameraman Alfonso Nieva . As is usual in the films of the sixties, one of the biggest distractions in the story is to locate which notorious and classical secondary appears in the next frame, this time the following are included: Manuel Arbó, Francisco Bernal, Mario Berriatúa, Roberto Camardiel, Raúl Cancio, Antonio Casas, Pastor Serrador, Manuel Requena, José Riesgo, Santiago Rivero, José María Tasso, Rafael Vaquero, Aníbal Vela, Antonio Jiménez Escribano y la inolvidable, recientemente fallecida Concha Velasco.
The motion picture was original and professionally directed by José Maria Elorrieta who used to be nicknamed under pseudonym, Joe Lacy . He was a prolific director who worked a lot along his short life, as he died at 53. A lively and cheerful film especially aimed at children and why not at adults too .
