Screenwriter and occasional producer, with acting and directing experience from the New York stage. With Warner Brothers, 1933-40, where he worked on several James Cagney vehicles. Subsequently at Paramount (1940-43) and RKO (1944-47). From 1959 to 1972, primarily active as producer of episodic television and writer of teleplays.
