Met Katy Manning when they both worked on Doctor Who (1963). They were engaged and stayed together 1974-1976
In 1977 he met Virginia Moore and they had two daughters, Wendy Bevan and Coral Bevan. They continued to enjoy life as a family until his death in 2022.
