This is a fantastic movie: the story, the actors, the places, everything is there in the right dosage, and the whole time, I felt like I was part of it. For anyone who felt lost or did not belong, for whomever had been always looking for someone dear, family or friends, this movie has it all. A special mention to the main characters; they were so well-played that I could swear they were real, even the children.
A special mention for not engaging in violence and sexual abuse. The story was so well written that the power of suggestion was more than enough to let the viewer have his own impression.

A perfect recipe for an Italian prize, a fined-tuned melodrama sauce (so-called subject) with spaghetti (the bunch of actors), or vice versa. There are plenty of far better movies about the same topic, maybe not in the same genre, not taking so long, and not feeling like eating leftovers. On the positive side, it was the first full movie by the director, and all the actors did their best considering the script.
Alternatively, what about offering the perspective of time change from then to now, of people's transformation not only from a passing week or two but from a generation?
How would they transform, and what have they become, here in one version, there in another?
I could even write the perfect ending, but this is not the place. Anyway, extremely overrated,
