Within the first few minutes we are told that the simulation technology around which the story revolves derives from "personal experiences, not algorithms," and then, immediately after that, we are told that this same simulation is "nothing but a feedback loop of ones and zeros."
This raises the question, what kind of philosophical depth can a writer bring to a film that is about the mystery of the nature of consciousness, when he clearly doesn't care about coherence in relation to comparatively simple things like the definition of what an algorithm is? What does that lack of concern for coherence say about the degree of the writer's own consciousness?
Watch "Creep Box" to find out, I guess.

In my view this film rates a 7-7.5. The acting is for the most part solid, with a couple hiccups near the beginning. The writing is tight and to the point. The cinematography is appropriately claustrophobic and I found the story compelling. The music is slightly weak, as are certain of the visual effects and editing effects. The main fault I can find with this film is that it is about Russian sailors who speak English with American accents, which perhaps is hard for some people to accept. That feature bothered me for the first ten minutes until the story got underway. Maybe some people are bothered by the speculation about K-129's fate, but in terms of filmmaking this is a well-constructed and well-executed movie.
