Can't remember last time I didn't finish watching a movie.
Oh no, I actually do: it was The Machine last night on Netflix.
My wife and I both ended on our phones after about 3 minutes of watching this show.
Very slow plot. Awkward scenes. Borderline acting.
I've seen Bert on YouTube a few times and was confused as to why he was starring in a large motion picture production with adequate marketing behind it. The first 40 minutes of this movie still left me confused. Too early for him?
And Luke Skywalker as the dad? I guess Luke needed a paycheck to afford the 8% inflation we suffered last year.
The movie isn't for me. It wasn't for my wife either. It won't be for most people.
I'll blame it on the fact that I don't have the background as to why Bert is referred to as The Machine to begin with. But 99.9% of the people don't either.
Maybe that's what the movie was trying to explain? I'll never know and I'm OK with it.

Emo-depressed batman.
"White privilege" line was unnecessary.
1.5 hours too long; more scene trimming would have helped the movie.
Zoe Kravitz and Robert Pattison love plot had no chemistry; call me jealous!
I found the Nirvana music distracting from actual scenes; the songs overpowered them.
5-score because it's watchable, once.

I'm just tired of that style of documentary where the host/interviewer/journalist is just being filmed meandering through city crosswalks and shaking hands of 47 people who each say 5 seconds worth of interesting material related to the actual topic.
Nice to know that you traveled to Switzerland, Japan, UK, Germany, Argentina, etc. But what did it add to the content? Not much besides the fact that i know that some nuclear bunker doors in Switzerland are painted yellow. Thanks.
