I'm sure this show was the bomb in 2002, but it sucks in 2025.
Naruto, the character is incredibly annoying and the show is possibly the slowest developing show I've ever seen, pretty comparable to Dragonball Z. Episode after episode of filler, and flashbacks.
Granted I only got 18 episodes into the first season, but the last 10 episodes have been a fight on a bridge with almost not actually fighting. Just standing around talk about their emotions and having flashbacks. Anyone trying to sell you on this show is just doing so out of nostalgia not actually because of a quality watching experience.
There are so many great anime these days, this one is just not worth the time.

To start off, I think this is a decent show, it's entertaining, but definitely not a must watch. That being said, I hope it gets a second season to see if they can improve. The show has the "Suits" name but not the same heart or wit.
The biggest problem with the show is it's flashback format. For the first half of the season it's hard to tell what's going because they jump back and forth in story timeline so frequently. There's a 15 year time span they cut between but the characters look the same, so it's not very obvious you just experience a time jump. Sometimes they put the date up on the screen in these transitions which helps l, but not always.
The second problem is the casting of the female characters. Except for the blonde and the Korean chick, they almost all look alike. It seems like whomever was casting the show has a type, cause all the women are slender dark haired women with the same makeup style and facial features. It makes it difficult in the opening episodes to know what's going on.

Leverage was a very enjoyable quirky show. The characters and stories had heart and it was intelligent.
This spinoff is full of poor writing, poor acting, and annoying afterschool special type storylines.
Breanna Casey's character is extremely annoying and makes the show almost unwatchable. Noah Wylie is wasted with this show, but at the same time everything I've seen him in since ER seems like he's just collecting a paycheck anyway.
I think the most disappointing thing about bringing back old shows like this is seeing the how the actors have aged which in turn takes away the believability of the characters.
Christian Kane was 36 when started playing his role as Elliot. Now he's 50 and his role less believable.
Gina Bellman was 42 playing the seductive Sophie who's had a life of con experience. Now at a 56 the age is showing and especially as she has many scenes with Alyse Shannon (Breanna), it makes her seem even older.
I don't blame the actors for aging, that's life, but the makeup department didn't do them any favors in the first season. To be honest they all look much more youthful for their age in the second season.
