Another solid Korean movie! Even though it's a 'regular' thriller it has the very unique Korean flavor- how cops treat civilians, how ex cops still feel that they are above the law (and they are), relationships between regular citizens as well- a lot of people are arrogant but after they get the first chair in their face they become mellow as a pillow. Also how family is responsible for each other (even money problems, even when they didn't seen their keen in decades) & more & more peculiarities that are just a joy to watch.

Though i said it's a 'regular' thriller what i meant was that it's a solid thriller that doesn't fall into the many clichés (just stumbles upon 1 or 2)

So even if the first few episodes where good it turns south very quickly, by the end of episode 4 it's almost beyond stupid, i thought it was just poorly written end of episode & decided to continue but in the next episode when Villanelle is teamed up to go after a target is beyond stupid, the characters are horribly written, the dialogs are bad and the several scenes where they are together are just laughable (they try to show that Villanelle is all above this but it doesn't make it anymore believable.

Unfortunately the poor writing that started at GoT in 4 seasons here arrived damn early & no one was ready for this sluggish winter yet. Another disappointment.

Though the 1st season was mostly good the 2nd season really stretched my patience. The main hero who has the same sad puppy face as John Snow and he & his team are having non stop problems facing EVERY moral decision like they're adolescents who're doing it anew EVERY god damn' time! This is mostly what got on my nerves, other then that the series follows the books pretty well so there's little room for breathing between the action scenes and the plot isn't dumb (as it would've been if the same writers had to write it on top of the stupid moral dilemmas). Also the cinematography is well done, this isn't the last Resident Evil type of movies where you see the makeup on the faces.
